You are Grobthok the wise. In your younger years you were a mighty sorcerer whose name struck fear in hearts and minds all around the world. As age has taken it's toll, however, you've found your thoughts turning more and more towards your impending death. Desperate to extend your time on this mortal coil, you resolve to steal life force from your fellow wizards. Summon demons using what little vitality you have left and live to see another day!

Hemomancers is a turn-based strategy tactics game where you summon demons to kill your enemies and defend your hero. The catch is that you lose a bit of yourself every time you make a summon.

The cost of the units that you need to summon is in the lower-right corner, but be careful with spending your health; your opponent might find it easier to kill you, or worse, you might find yourself spending more life than you have. Careful not to kill yourself! :)

We are still setting up HTTPS, will modify the link when its ready.

Bugfixes:

  • The suicide warning now shows up reliably. It used to show up only when your health would have gone negative due to the summon.

Like the concept but the shop randomisation is a bit poorly explained and you can kill yourself too easily by misclicking onto a unit that's too expensive.

Little clunky in execution, but I like the idea. If you'd polish it up a bit, it could be something interesting

Love the idea, it is really amazing! Would be great with more polish, especially as it is a bit confusing to understand. I would love to see this project expanded upon!

Great idea. In fact me and my friend has a similar idea at the beginning. I'd say the graphics would need a bit of work and the interface should be more clear but other than that it's a solid game. Cheers!

Solid core mechanic, although the interface could be a bit clearer (e.g. my pieces and enemy pieces look very similar) and enemy turns could move faster.

A little hard to read and follow at times, but I really like the concept! Can't wait to see what else you do with it!

Interesting concept, but I would change the font in the tutorial, or make it not so bold... it made it a little bit hard to read. The units could also display their stats in a different place (like, each in every corner), to make it even easier to understand what does every number mean. Overall, this could be a nice challenging game with a little bit more work.

Was confused at first but once i got the hang of it someone properly kicked my butt. Doesnt seem like I had a chance to get anymore health with his units taking me down every turn.

That was really fun! Reminded me of Final Fantasy Tactics or Triple Triad, weirdly enough.

One thing that bugged me was that I couldn't tell how my opponent killed me because the game ended before I saw their moves.

Very fun to play with a friend. Great work

Pretty fun once I got the hang of it! I agree with the previous comments that the pieces could be more clearly differentiated between players.
Overall good use of theme and something I could see myself playing quite a bit. Good work :)

Cool concept! I love the little sprites! Like others have said, I would change the text to make it a bit more readable but not really that much of an issue. I didn't have anyone to play with so I just played against myself in another window but I still enjoyed it!

I appreciate that Lucifer's stats are 666 - nice touch :) Also, that heart sprite is really impressive!

i like the concept! i found the font on the interface kinda hard to read, but otherwise nice work, some of the spritework is really good (like the heart)!!

Love the idea, would love to see you spend some more time on it post LD, i imagine it would turn into something wonderful, but as it is pretty great considering the time constraints :)

Should probably have more feedback for actions, but overall pretty decent.
