The game was finished 3 days after the jam deadline. Take that into consideration when rating (or don't rate).
The project was way too ambitious for a single person that studies and works.
That being said I'm super proud of this one. Hope you enjoy it and feedback is much appreciated! 😄

Maybe you could make the game start at an easier level? Just a suggestion :)
But overall, good job!
to echo @mashupgames point, the majority of times I was hurt was when I was traveling in a direction and an enemy spawned from that directon (especialy going south).
The difficulty curve was also well thought out. I made it to level 11 before I got mobbed, but if I was a little better I'm sure I could have made it farther!
A couple of suggestions:
- The fixed camera angle made it more difficult to move down, and easier to move up (because you could see more of the playing field in the "up" direction). Because of this I always tried to stick to the lower parts of the stage, and it felt unfair when an enemy came at me from the bottom
- The upgrades could have been more fun. I would have loved to be able to buy different gun, or some abilities (e.g., a shield, or an AOE upgrade)
- I was sad when everything in the shop was sold out  Let me upgrade forever :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Overall very impressive and juicy entry! I had a great time playing!
Good job but my rating is only for 3 days of work so a little less high.

Why so much insecurity? Right when you pull out such a complete game and well polished game by your own (Remember we are all devs commenting here haha), it doesn't look like you worked alone, this is great.
That said the game design itself didn't have anything interesting to showcase besides the use of your character's health as currency (I think most of us did that, I didn't like this theme that much to be honest lol.
You're in the theme! Nice controls, simple but efficient! I'm sad because you didn't finish this game in time.. I think it could be on podium!
keep the good work, and i want to see more games from you !
Everything about this felt very polished, I can easily see the theme, and this game looks ready to be expanded upon. Great work!
I almost wish there was more levels to upgrade. having only 6 levels makes you max out pretty quick if you are any good at these types of games.
