Cat-Astrophe by LaneDavis
Can you make it home in time for dinner?
Play as a cat just trying to make it through all of the rooms in your castle home to join your three witch owners for dinnertime. Watch your step, as danger lurks around every corner. Fortunately, you have a magic pendant that will bring you back in time to the start of the room when you die. You'll soon find out that your past selves will help you get through even the toughest of challenges.

Try to make it through with as few deaths as possible, but know that most puzzles will require sacrifices to solve!

One minor note: the level with six/seven layers of cannons went on for a bit long. I got that it was supposed to be a final level with a higher level of difficulty, and when I did get to the end I felt accomplished, but I felt like it could have been a little shorter.
@heather-flowers Totally agreed on your second point. That level feels much more appropriate for an optional slog deep deep deep into the game. We hit people with it way too early. We played around with some level ordering in v1.2, and are talking over shortening that one based on your comment.
@dorkulon, @treslapin, and @justcamh Thank you all! We particularly appreciate your commentary on the crystals. We've watched a few dozen people play in person now and... everyone does exactly the same thing! Egg on our faces: we'll definitely swap those crystals out for something more innocuous looking in a future update. Props to you for great feedback.
The hit boxes seemed a little unforgiving at times, I swear jumped over that...
I had to restart the last level a few times due to completely blocking the path at the second cannon but got there eventually.
Just played through again - 29 deaths, 10:49.43. Much better than the 103 deaths from my first run.

The audio is amazingly well polished, with cool acting and funny quotes with the witches. Graphics are great too, with great art and lightings. Sometimes I died so many times the start of the level was a real graveyard, forcing me to rush and die even more XD
Also there is a magic cat. Great job, one of the best LD43 games I've played so far. Congrats!
Cheers!
*"Your corpses I will count, I hope it is a large amount!"* - This describes this game very well.
Wow, just wow. Amazing game, the best so far. Extremely polished in any way thinkable, humor, audio
quality, graphics. Maybe the controls were a biiiiit clunky but that may also be due to my old laptop.
The theme was extremely well implemented too. The last level with the many cannons was a bit frustrating, but eventually I got to the end.
Thank you for making this and I definitely want to see more like this!
PS: What is the effect called that is used for the background music when I go into the pause menu with ESC?
The effect is called a low pass filter. If you're in Unity, you can just add a "Low Pass Filter" component onto any gameobject with an audio source and it'll do the same effect! Of course, you can mess with values to your liking, but I used a timer to ease in the Cutoff Frequency from 10000 (during normal gameplay) to about 300 (during the pause menu). The ease-in happens over about one second, so it ends up sounding pretty smooth.
