Hi!

Me and 3 of my friends gathered around to participate in this gamejam. This is actually our first Ludum Dare gamejam. We decided to make a russian roulette kind of party game as the subject of this event is "Your life is currency". The game will be launched on android devices (with +5.0 android). In case you wanted to try it out it will be available to download .apk file. PC version will be android port if trying it out before you install it on your phone seems more convicing. Each player (from 2 to 8) gets his own revolver and uses it to bet his life. The one who stays alive and is the richest one is the winner. It is your life, that you use as money and well... life!

We created all the graphics including 2d art and 3d models. For music and sound effects, we used gamesounds.xyz

I love the idea for a social component to the game. Now I just need to find some friends...

Great, simple concept! Nice to see multiplayer games getting representation!

There isn't too much to critique gameplay-wise since it's so simple and achieves what it set out to do. Instead, I'll give feedback on presentation. I've included a screenshot with this comment. There's some weird stuff happening in the Windows port to text and object placement. It's hard to read the text behind the gun and the bet button. For reference, my computer's resolution is 1680x1050.

As for the problem, it appears for the fact that the subtitles are scaled in the 1920x1080 base resolution. Therefore, we apologize for the situation, but as we write in the description, the PC version is just a fast port from Android so that you can see the game before deciding to download it on the phone, because the biggest emotion is when we pull the trigger pointing the phone in the head.

Ha, I like it! It's funny because this was very similar to my original idea so glad I went another route :)
Not really much I can say about it, it was entertaining for a few seconds which is exactly what these games should be. The animations and controls were satisfying.

I suppose the only criticism I could offer, and it is nitpicking, is I didn't understand the betting at first. It took me a few seconds to figure out I couldn't bet more than $100 the first round because that was all I had. Not sure I could say how to make it better and it really doesn't need to be probably, I'm just dumb.

@simplepotential

The betting system especially in each round as a basic bet sets the entire pocket of the player, we did it because during a few test games we usually wanted to bet everything, but we did not want to take the opportunity to play more carefully with other players.

@squishywizard44

Once again, thank you for feedback, after reading your opinion, we decided to look at our PC version for a while and improve the UI enough not to interfere with the game. We hope that now you will have no problems to enjoy the game.

Great concept, would be a joy to play with friends on the phone. Nice to see some games with multiplayer in mind!

Graphics look nice. Didn't really fit to the theme at all. You have currency for currency and 1 life. It wouldn't be bad on indie app market

30. Apr 2019 · 12:15 UTC
@360
Our assumption was that life would become a currency, for it is impossible to play without it. As long as you live your life is a coin through which you can continue playing, but when you are dead, not enough that you lose a coin through which you took part in the game, then what you have earned so far is worth nothing.

The theme should be clear and concise.

@inferture That's how we thought when we decided to choose an android as the default platform.

A solid Russian Roulette simulator. I can imagine this is a fun thing to do with friends with a phone. Also it really fits the theme well. Good job!

Simple premise :) Execution is fine! The graphics and sound effects are all very nice. The presentation of the actual shooting and menus all around could've been a little more visually interesting but that would be my only complaint. The mechanics work and i like that you can play it with your friends :) Better than the real deal ;)

Good execution of a fairly simple concept. Animation and sounds were good. Only thing I might add is some music. Well done.

@duke Thanks for feedback. The graphics were targeted for the appearance and optimization on the android, so if you've been playing on a pc, I'm not surprised that it may not look good

@rhoka Thanks for feedback. In our game we specifically decided not to put music on the grounds. That it is a multiplayer party game and we recognized that the music could be more disturbing than necessary.

Loved it. Simple clean and quick. Nothing negative to report. Maybe the winner being clearer at the end, podium maybe? Great work

Woaaah that teaser is sickkk! And the game's 2D and 3D graphics are also pretty cool. Simple ideas in LD are usually the best, and this game is a nice example! And cool to see a multiplayer game AND even an Android game :) Good job for your first ever LD guys! Maybe some music would have been OK, not sure though. GJ GJ GJ

Simple concept, but really efficient. Good job, I will love to play something like that with friends during a party for example.

A simple and a bit scary little game. The change of dying is perhaps a bit too high, especially when your bet is low. Overall a fine LD game.

Solid Russian Roulette simulator with nice graphics. I love the teaser, maybe more than the game itself. Well done ++

Nice sounds and graphics - although it's strange that you can bet on puting all bullets - can it jam or something and i just didn't have luck? :)

Game crashed once on windows but then it was ok so i guess it wasnt a big issue.
Good job finishing it!

A really fun game idea! I like that you went for multiplayer AND android. Who doesn´t want to put a gun against his head at a party. Fun for everyone :D

A very nice, simple game that has been implemented well. Nice graphics and audio, spinning the wheel felt satisfying. Great to see a multiplayer game here! My only complaint is that I had to play for ages to see what happened when you lose!

Actually playing this on a phone is 10x better, that actual bang sound when you lose is perfect. (although really morbid and horrible to think about ) But hey. at least if someone wants to actually play russian roulette now they can do it safely.

I played it on PC and it assumed I used a Phone.
I couldn't fully enjoy it alone, but given that it is a multiplayer game, it'd be a great alternative to a Rock Paper Scissors~
