Woodland Warfare by Kichex

Is chess but with limited resources, your tree can spend sap to summon units to the battlefield and use it to command them to move or attack. But beware! The lower your sap, the more vulnerable your tree is. If it gets to 0 you lose!

Instructions
Every action you do (moving, summoning or attacking) consumes your sap life, recover it by conquering new tiles or killing enemy troops.
Take on your enemy tree when is weak on Sap to win.

Graphics is giving the atmosphere of this game, very well executed!
The gam match with the theme.
Some improvments could be done on how the game work.
Liked it, keep the good work.
work!
I'm noticing that people feel confused if they lose after getting too low on sap and then get a friendly unit killed which in turns takes sap from them and kills them. I'll probably fix that next. Thanks for playing!
I think adding a bit more feedback regarding the tile you are currently activating because some characters cover some of the tiles above them, and also the GUI could do a better job of knowing how close you are to the winning or losing, because I lost some games with 50 sap left and I wasn't sure why.
Some small tweaks here and there could make this game fully realize that potential.
I didn't understand how things worked, there is no tutorial, I thought that my tree could hit his tree, the summon that costs 20 does just a little bit more damage than the one that costs 5, I lost suddenly 2 times, really didn't get what happened. The interface is clunky, I had to click several times on the characters to make it appear the menu on top of them.
I think with more time spent to polish the design and the technical parts, this game could work well.
Name the trees "Player 1" and "Player 2"
Keep on this one, it looks like itll be great!
I also made a game for it's jam. try, rate and comment. Please.

I feel a tutorial screen would have been useful
Also, the hitbox to select the different chess parts feel a bit wonky and hard to click on
But beyond that, it's a solid game for a LD - nicely done thanks for sharing :-D
