Cute little game! I enjoy the audio. Took me a minute to figure out where to bring the ingredients once I collected them. Now I want to eat cake (hold the veggies and fish, please)!!!

I like the sound the most! Specially the fact that it matches the "pixelish art". Also, I like the fact that the gameplay is short. I really helps the "minigame vibe" thing. However, my main suggestion on how to improve the game would be to work on the player engagement. For me I was curious about what kind of combinations of ingredients would lead to different results, but I felt I did not get enough of that. Good job on your game!

you need to try harder, this is obviously your first game so you might not have a proper workflow, don't shy away from using other people's assets and tools, join other teams and jams, even if only to watch how a real team does it. some complains with the game character can't slide on walls, more than 4 guesses is only for masochists. Don't feel bad about your low rating, with time and experience you will be able to turn it around

I like the audio and music, reminds me of atari times. The idea is interesting but not sure if well executed, I would start game at the kitchen and put a recipe on the wall showing required ingredients, than you need to pick up only those. Also not sure if I got the idea good, but after 3rd restart I was not able to pickup any ingredients anymore. With all that said, you do have a complete coherent game, which Is something to be proud of.

Took me a while to figure some stuff out but I really enjoyed the audio and music! I’d love for you to review my submission as well.

Core concept's not bad, but it doesn't seem like it has much room for players to explore. There's a right combination of ingredients that the player needs to figure out based on their knowledge of real cakes, and then they need to platform to get the ingredients. Would be nice to give players a separate challenge to figure out what the ingredients are! And I agree with others that it's a bit buggy. I got stuck to the sides of platforms a lot, and one time the character basically slid off the left hand side of the screen so I couldn't see him anymore.

The music's pretty good, as others have said.

There are actually 8 different recipes of cakes to make. We just didn't have enough time to include the recipe book mechanic we wanted. Exploration is actually a core goal for us. We want the player to have to figure out the different recipes for the different cakes. Unfortunately, time worked against us on this one. Thanks for the feedback!

Fun but short game! The mechanic is simple but plays well. The platformer mechanic could be better implemented (I got stuck on a platform a couple of times) but does not prohibit enjoying the game. The ending screen was fun too. I also liked the music, very simple but not irritating and fit the game!

I enjoyed this game, though I found the platforming element a bit frustrating at times when the jump didn't work or I go caught on a platform by my hat. I enjoyed the core concept but wish you guys would've had more time to add the recipe book, or at least post clues on the instructions page.

Interesting concept. I agree with @Evan Minto that there should be some sort of a recipe book. I liked the music quite a bit (even though it seemed a tad bit too loud). Otherwise I feel like the game has a few technical problems. First, your character gets stuck on walls (I recommend you learn a bit on physics materials in Unity). I also had a bug where suddenly I couldn't pick up any recipes anymore (It played the sound and everything but it didn't add to my inventory or even delete).

Otherwise, it's a decent concept that needs some more work behind it. That is if you are willing to keep working on it, of course.

Haha, the first time I made gloop! I shouldn't have picked up that fish! Nice lighthearted and amusing game - I had fun

I like the idea of collecting ingredients, but I wish the platforming was more dynamic. Only problem I had was that my character got stuck on the sides of platforms. Maybe if you expand upon the game you can have multiple levels where you make different foods. Good job.

I think this is a nice rounded entry. Nice gameplay loop, simple visuals, front end/instructions. audio and a nice end sequence. So many entries miss out on one or all of these things so I am really happy you did them all! :)

OK so this is a fun little game BUT:
-the controls are bugged - the character gets stuck if he touches a platform with his body and you gotta make the jump over again - also, sometimes, if you jump at the very end of a platform, the jump doesn't get registered at all so you fall to the ground ad have to make it all over again, that's frustrating
-the "R" command doesn't quite work - once you restart the game, you can't pick uo any item!
Anyway all in all it's a fun play, the music is cute and I gotta say I'm actually very fond of the aesthetics of the main character :-3 Good work, keep it up :-D
