Immortal Alchemy by fortytwoboxes

[raw]
made by fortytwoboxes for LD 44 (JAM)

As this is my first ever game i ran into a lot of problems and ultimately out off time. there are features and animations missing but ld was a great experience. i tried adding a manual with pitctures as a pdf and hope that helps, just click on the pots or potions and combine two in the glas with the help of the eye.

As an alchemist you try to create elixirs for immortality through the use of your health as payment for creating the elixirs. In the game you start with impure elixirs and have to refine them by combining elixirs and/or elementsAlchemyScreenshot3.pngAlchemyScreenshot2.png

The idea is very interesting. The instructions are a bit hard to understand, but I clicked around for a bit and quickly figured out how to play the game

Quite like the pixelly art style here. Game would really benefit from sound effects! It would also be nice to have some randomly varying effects on the player's health.

I also noticed a bug - you can pick up two elixirs simultaneously and then you're stuck with one of them forever.

So many options! Really like the graphics and the gameplay, but combining all the different elixirs becomes quite cumbersome after mixing the potions for several minutes. Still, great effort and really love the style!

I like the premise, and the art style is cool. Could maybe use a "how to play" screen but it wasn't *that* difficult to figure out. Good work!

I like the idea of an alchemy game, but the randomness felt like I was not accomplishing anything. I never knew what would happen, no formula was reliable, making me feel like I was just watching instead of making any decisions whatsoever. But yeah, I know how hard it is. Good job, nonetheless!
