Really fun game and pretty original gameplay I think! Had somewhy hard time looking at the answers when the purple haired girl was on the screen, she had some nice... elements of distraction. The sound effects were really nice too!

The ui and the art is very clean. Nice animations and it definitely got me stressed out at the very last level! Good ambiance and good job!!

I liked this. It started off so steady that I thought I'd just breeze through it, but I was twitching by the time I reached the final website. I beat it, but it would probably take someone a little younger to get any further. I couldn't tell if the levelling up changed anything, or if it were more thematic? I would've liked a few extra moments to look at the character art of my new opponents, things moved so fast that I didn't have a lot of time to look at them before frantically trying to match up words.

I liked the idea, it's simple to play and fun. The art is pretty and very cohesive. Some animations would been nice, but I understand the lack of time.

Nice job overall :)

Well done. Great art style and surprisingly fun to play. I died on the last website :(

Gameplay was simple, but kept being challenging (even more so since English isn't my first language) and I really felt that I wanted to win. Battling on the internet was a clever setting, you will never run out of enemies. Also, I liked the twist at the end!

I have to say that I was *very* skeptical after seeing the character art on the cover image... But, I guess it is part of the genre, so it fits!

It got really hectic at the end there. Well polished and a great aesthetic. Good job!

The theme of the game is fantatic! So original! It's great, with a simple mechanic that everybody can understand. The UI design is the best that i have seen between e game i've tried. The characters are amazing, i love the manga style. And the RPG elements match perfectly. What can i say? you have a new fan, hope you continue with it.

@been Leveling up increases your upvotes (damage) and max popularity (hp). Enemy level increases their max hp and damage as well, but more damage than hp and they level faster. So the damage you take goes up as the levels go on. I had a system of advanced buff selection after a level up, but decided to polish the game more instead, I think it was a good tradeoff. After the jam I'll make the game get harder faster and make level ups have a more noticeable effect. Thanks for the feedback about seeing the opponents! I should put in an intro delay before they start arguing. And maybe even a caption bubble of like "Space Wars is a terrible movie!".

This game is addicting. I never got to the end (one away) because it got too hard, but well done. I love the idea and execution of the game. The music and sound effects are great too. Fantastic job.

Well done to the team, UI in particular was impressively polished for an LD entry.

Had a lot of fun! That last few websites were tough! I liked that the game was forgiving enough to let you delete comments and continuing, and also lets you keep going after winning. Those were nice touches. They sound effects were subtle but very good, for some reason. Almost like a vibrating phone? Anyway, great job!

Excellent game and presentation! The last couple websites were quite frantic and I felt like the game was very well balanced.

Beat in one try(just barely) the crickets at the end cracked me up ^-^

Great work! Easily the funniest game I've played so far this jam.

I uh didn't realize i was enjoying this until 20 minutes later. Y'all did great with this, everything, music was fun, graphics were good, the gameplay was quick and needed a lot of thinking.

Definitely one of the most fun games I've played this LD. I especially liked the art and humor. My only riticism would be that the JRPG parts weren't really noticeable since the whole game was to fast to really pay attention to the numbers anyway.

I liked it!
A bit tricky at the end for me as a bad English speaking person, but I like the rhythm of the game, and playing with arrows is really an advantage with this.

Great idea, great graphics and everything well combined, good job!

Good stuff, difficulty just right, simpleness right on point, looks good. Some choices were interesting, wonder if it was entirely random, partly random or handpicked because some were tricky, some funny and even some manipulative (words youd associate but not neccessarly antonyms) either way, was nice!

Hehehe, always nice to see an alternate take on the theme like this. The randomness seemed a bit suspect at times (I had arguments where every answer was the right-arrow for example), but it played well and had the right level of difficulty, I think.

Hey I played this on stream, it was really great!

I honestly thought I was in for an easy ride at the start but the difficulty quickly ramped up and swept me off my feet :yum:

One thing I would mention was that I did get repeats here and there from the answers but that's really inevitable from the ludum dare time constraints.

Other than that, played so well and it was SO POLISHED - I was glued the entire time
