The style of this game is really really cool, so I liked the lighting and the emission. The controls did not feel clunky and was easy to pickup. What can I say, A GREAT JAM GAME :D

I survived 3 waves to judge the game, but kept it in a special folder that I put for games from Ludum Dare 44 that I love so I can go back and immerse myself in them :D

I really liked the atmosphere (sounds/music/vfx/graphics) !

It seemed to me that my character was not completely looking at my mouse cursor and missing the enemy a bit. Not too frustrating, but still something worrying for me as I was being chased by a dozen yellow arrows ^^ Also I felt like it's way more important to avoid the enemies than killing them fast because they can they kill YOU very fast while the time counter doesn't goes too fast, maybe that would be interesting if these two ways of losing were more balanced.

But overall, the game is simple and fun but not easy, good job  !

The game is fun to play! The art is really really great, it is not as easy as it seems to make neon game like this, but you nailed it perfectly! I found the game a bit hard, not that I'd like it to be a game for children, but I hardly won the second wave, took me like 3 tries (not this much, but I think a second wave shouldn't be so hard). At a moment I was going up, and after killing the last enemy I got teleported to the place I can buy my upgrade but because I went up I just got to the next wave without having time to cancel my movement xD Not a big problem though, didn't prevent me to enjoy playing, thanks for this game !

(Also I had trouble to aim correctly, like the rotation wasn't smooth if I didn't use my mouse, is it my controller or a game issue?)

Got home and tried it out on my windows machine :) It was really pretty, and the music was great. The controls WERE bugged, as other people mentioned, but I figured out I could get around them via always backing up and shooting in front of me. It would make the enemies get in this straight line pursuing me so i could just shoot them down in a line.

That said, I got one power up, and I couldn't figure out what it did at all?

Overall this has the makings of a really good future game :)

Really cool game! I loved the visuals. The music fits like a glove. The only downside is that it doesn't fit the theme very well in my opinion, but you have a great game.

Hey congratulations! The game is really nice specially the graphics and audio were awesome!
I just felt that the camera was either too close or the enemies were too fast or my ship was slow at changing directions. I just started moving in one direction as the enemies seemed to spawn less in the direction I was moving.
Also the powerups didn't seem to do anything much noticeable :open_mouth:
Overall a really nice game!

First of all, congrats for your work . I survived until wave 6 and that was very cool even if i didn't really feel change from the upgrades.

I like the visuals and audio, they are really catchy, nice-looking and they suits to each other perfectly. Movement system is kinda weird, because when I release a move key my character is still moving for a little while.

Anyway, good job!

OMG... great idea and concept. I have to say this game is fun to play. Graphic is simple but very clean with beautiful neon effects. Game design is easy to understand. What to say more ... Excellent job!! :)

As a fan of the neon bloom visual aesthetic, you get top marks from me. I'm also a fan of the light but up-beat techno loop and the minimal sound effects. It's also a fairly solid twin-stick shooter with a seamless transition between the game and the power-up selections however there isn't really any variety in the enemies to prevent the gameplay from feeling repetitive.

Since the only enemies fly directly towards you, it lead to my only strategy being to move away and shoot straight as they eventually lead to the direction I wanted, there's nothing encouraging me to approach them or change where I aim appart from their random starting position from outside the screen.

I tried using the gamepad at first but I found shooting at the enemies almost impossible due to their size, but using keyboard and mouse was much easier to handle in this scenario.

Great work overall, there's definitely potential to expand on the game with more enemy types and maybe alternative weapon options.

hey, I played it on stream--I think there might be a little too much camera shake and I could use some explaining for the power ups. cool visual style

Nice shooter, very challenging though. I died A LOT in te first wave as sometimes, I was riding throught the space and enemies would just slam into me from behind and that started to annoy me after a while — but maybe I was just playing it wrong. I still enjoyed the game and stayed with it for a while. A solid entry with nice graphics and sounds!

I really like the looks of this game. The sound when you hit the enemies is a nice touch. But it's way too difficult. What I did after a while was simply flying to the left and spamming to the right. It makes makes the game too easy though.. 😅

Nice one overall.
