The game kept freezing and crashing for some reason, but the graphics were nice.

If anyone sees freezes / crashes could you comment saying what happened? Some of the UX is a bit unfinished so it's not always obvious which parts can be clicked (Especially the to town button in the bottom left)

The art is pretty nice, bug game is full of bugs :)

No enemy and no cards. Also after using all cards I should get new ones? 5 cards are too little.

You draw new cards at the start of each day, once you've used all your cards for the day you need to rest to draw new ones. You can run out of cards against an enemy but i didn't want the game to force you to rest as this would mean you couldn't go to the shop after running out of cards. The game is pretty difficult but it can be completed with a little bit of luck!

I like the idea. Really just relies on the luck of the draw though.

We already talked about the lack of information regarding your card stack. Aside from that, I enjoyed playing it. Looking forward to an improved version. Keep on jammin'! :)

Fun game :) Took a minute to get into the loop but when there it was compelling. I like the art.

I like the art style and concept! Why not just let the player redraw cards when they run out? I keep ending up facing enemies with not enough weapons to beat them, it's a bit frustrating.

Fun game that I could pick up easily! Fonts are a bit small and, I think the cost of cards really just needs to be displayed at shop.

The arts pretty good. Game works pretty good and is fun, but the shop is a little confusing as to if its going to replace the card you have or if you can trade in or what. I saw the blurb in the description about it but, i think there needs to be some kind of indicator in game as to whats happening. Good work!

I totally agree Ryan thanks. I ran out of time pretty hard and didn't have a chance to complete a lot of the polish i wanted to add. For example you're supposed to beable to burn cards in the incinerator at the back of the town but alas out of time. I think if i do a second version of this game i'll probably put the draw and discard piles on screen and animate the movement of the cards so people can see exactly what's happening.

I like this deck-building game. I didn't complete it but I want to go back and try again soon!

Congratulations with your first LD! You should make knife and bread as default and always awaliable cards, becouse you can get stuck in last battle and unable to die, win or at least return to city

I didn't have enough patience to wait for the lucky draw, but I enjoyed the game loop.

@team-on you should always be able to return to the city but yeah if you run out of cards on the last battle it really should immediately kill you rather than requiring you to go back and rest. I Think i'll do a 1.1 version of this game that will work that way and also allow you to burn cards in the incinerator

I like the game, the idea is really interesting and I think it was well executed. Unfortunately it seems sometimes you don't recieve the cards you buy, which is unfortunate. I also wish the game was a bit more balanced, because right now you waste your cards too quickly and can't proceed. Nice work!

Interesting concept of a digital card game! The battles felt like they could have some more balancing.

Thank you also for providing a web version of the game!

Hey, sorry the balance wasn't to your taste, my friends and I tested the balance quite a lot and feel it's about where we want it. If I do another version I might add difficulty levels so that you have the option to beat the boss in 20 days instead of 10

Nice work. When beating the gate guard the ending text popped up really fast and then the intro text popped up over that. Other than that it was a fun deck builder. Being able to use the bread even when you were at full health was a bit frustrating. Wasted a few trying to get 6 hearts to buy the super sword.

That's excellent feedback @vimlark thanks so much! I'm going to do a new version of this so I'll make sure I fix being able to use bread at full health and make sure the splash screens stay up until you click rather than randomly disappearing after 2 seconds.

I loved the game i rated it a 4.5 overall, all you could improve on is fixing the bugs and if you have time you could do a tutorial.

This was a pretty good experience. I tend to suck at deck building games but I do like what you did here. The music and graphics were quite charming,

No bug to report on my end. I wished there was a little more weapons in the shop, but that's partially my fault for building a deck way too large. That always happen when I play that kind of game…

As you've probably guessed, I didn't manage to escape, despite my two trials. But I feel I've seen almost everything the game has to offer, wich is in fact quite substantial. It could be tuned a bit better, but there's is plenty of nice content. Despite their simplicity, the graphics are very well done, as is the music. Only the dialog boxes maybe lack a bit of polish, wich is very understandable, in the context of a jam.

Interesting idea, but the game really use more info/UI in the game. As a couple other people mentioned, the shop is confusing, as it's hard to tell if you're getting the cards or not. I'm also baffled how/if you can buy the super sword since the character's max health is 5. Unfortunately on my playthrough, the shop was filled with them. I also encountered the missing enemy bug like someone above has screenshotted.

This could be the base for a neat game concept, but it has some kinks to work out.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! There's a trick to buying super sword but i don't want to spoil it here. I think the missing enemy bug is basically if you go back into a dungeon room other than the rat room after previously leaving you can't return so you end up going back to the rat room (Which is empty since you already killed it) So you need to go back and rest in this situation. I'll change this in an upcoming version so you just go straight back to the monster you were fighting.
