Very well done! The only thing I don't really like are the controls of the tank, but that might be me. The game is also quite hard, but with some practice it's super fun! :)

I liked the controls and the art was super nice too, especially the particle effect following the tank, really cool. Only problem I had was it seemed quite difficult :D

Pretty nice visuals. I'm fine with the tank controls. But I'd like to see more powerups like missiles, lazers, etc. More mayhem with a particles party!

Here is my playtest:

nice management of the light which increases the stress. but a small text "press space" above the portal would not have been superfluous

Slick, nice graphics and controls work nicely once you get the gist. Not sure how to score points but I enjoyed the ramping up if critters and the mood of the lighting. Good job.

Pretty cool shooter. The particle effects and the lighting especially was very nice. More enemy variety, behavior and AI would have been good.

Thank you! all for your feedback I made a post jam version of the game that takes it into consideration.

@icxon Thank you for the play test! Really cool to see how others play your game! I added a bunch of power ups, new enemies, and made a level up system in the post jam version, and basically redid the whole gameplay to make it more flashy and exciting.

@dimesto52 There really is no point in pressing space when entering the portal so I removed it all together in the post jam version.

Pretty impressed this was made on 48 hours! Congratulations!
The only thing that bugged me really was that I couldn't distinguish the front from the back of the tank, but since I was almost always rolling forward that didn't affect me that much.

I didn't play the post-LD version, but more enemy types and powerups would be nice. Also, when you get low on health there isn't much to put you back on the game.

@umsingelopugmanco Thank you! Now that you mention it, its actually really hard to distinguish the front from the back and I should probably make it more obvious. Thank you for pointing it out! I've added health packs in the post-jam version, along with more enemies and power ups!

Competent top down shooter. The gimmick is thematic, but not exactly exciting. A standard wave based system would achieve a similar difficulty curve: monsters get more numerous and dangerous as time goes on.

The graphics are great: nice lighting system and fancy particles. The enemies could look more menacing, less like oversized cockroaches. The sound effects do their job.

The post jam version has a lot more going on for it. Drops the thematic connection completely, which is a good move. The ratings are for the jam version.

Looks pretty, really like the lightning! Great for 48 hours. Needs something extra though, gets a bit dull after a while

Very nice graphics, the lighting and all the particles were great. Game was fun too, I haven't tried the post jam version yet but it sounds like it would help it stay fun for longer. I was briefly confused at first as to which end was the front of the tank, but because you never really stop moving it didn't end up being an issue.
