Signing Session Simulator by azrou

[raw]
made by azrou for LD 40 (JAM)

Hello !

This is our first participation as a group to the Ludum Dare ! This is the first time most of us are making an actual game, but this was a lot of fun (even though our graphist's computer died during the week-end) !

Our game, the Signing Session Simulator, puts you into the role of a Japanese Idol, a young singer whose climb to fame gets harder as she gets more and more fans ! You face more and more fans everyday in signing sessions and try to keep up with all their requests for signs, pictures and dance demonstrations !

For the game, we used Photoshop, Inkscape (Characters/UI), Blender (Backgrounds) and Unity (Programming).

While the game is far from being a polished product, we are glad to be able to submit a game together !

How to play :

Sign : Use your mouse to draw the sign, following the pre-made sign! The more accurate you are, the more points you get!

Dance : Use your arrow keys to reproduce the dance steps! Be careful for the rythm accelerating everyday!

Photography : Use the Right and Left arrow keys to stay at the middle of the bar! Or let the bar slide away to show your creepiest look !

We can't wait to test everyone's games, and to get another shot at this experience in the next LD !

Great game!

The graphics are really pretty and well done. Also the interactions were getting really stressful really quickly.

The game seams really nice but honestly it was way too hard for me.
The music minigame go way too fast and the drawing minigame ask to be really precise.
It would be nice to also have a little countdown before a minigame start, to let us some seconds to be ready.

That was a funny game indeed ! I liked the graphics too ! :)
It's cool to have mini-games inside a game ! Maybe the music game is a bit hard but it is a good treatment of the subject for sure !

Great graphics and the game play is pretty good and I like the idea a lot. Music game was hard as spread out as it was and I didn't feel like the feedback from people always lined up with my performance but maybe I suck haha. Good Job!

Yeah, I feel like I'm playing on the hardest difficulty right off the bat lol. I enjoyed it, but I have to say I actually became a little annoyed with how creepy the fans are.

On the drawing minigame, sometimes the same click I did to pass text would show up as a black dot on the autograph. In my opinion the SFX that plays when you pass text should be louder. I feel it should be loud enough to make a clear difference between the clock and going through the text.

But anyway, congratulations! It's a nice game

My fans hate me for drawing too fast nooooo!
Very nice game for the small time frame given. I liked the game concept :)
The balancing game was the most well done in my opinion. There was visual ques if you were doing good or bad and it was easy to understand.

lol, a Ludum Dare game about idol signing sessions, I've seen it all  I like it a lot! The graphics are cute and fitting, and I'm a sucker for mini-game games. The photograph and ddr-style one I could do pretty well, but I could NEVER get the signature down. Oh well. I liked all of the dialog -- the fans are suitably creepy lol. Good work on this, all of you!

I love it, specially the DDR mini game. I do feel that the difficulty increases a little bit too much with each day, but even so I actually played it multiple times because I found it pretty fun :D. Good job!

Interesting collection of minigames. I loved the creepy dialogues from the fans. The minigames were way too hard for me though, they all seemed designed for people who already had practice at them, not people like me who are trying them for the first time.
