Ghost Writers by 01101101
SCRABBLE meets BOMBERMAN!
Play against a friend in a race to form your words on the board!
Slow your opponent's progress by bombing his letters or focus on rushing to place yours...
WARNING: 2 players only. Read the controls on the start screen.
NOTE: Bomb dispensers need you to be holding a letter to work. Think of it as recycling ;)

Our first ever game made with Scratch.
We didn't find the time to implement everything we had in mind but the result is still playable and fun.
There might be bugs, so if you're stuck, restart a game... Sorry ;)

*Ignore the rest if you are not looking for advice, I just like to run my keyboard mouth on the internet.
- Movement needs sfx to help players get the timing right, ~maybe slow it down a bit too.
- Make it clear to the player where you can place and where you can't, by using a visual element backed by a sfx indicating when you can't place somewhere.
- Walling players off is pretty game breaking. However it could be cool if the bombs functioned as more of a basic player ability with it's own input and cooldown.
- Being unable to place letter blocks on exploded tiles leads to too many dead end matches
