Ragerint by Eldemarkki

[raw]
made by Eldemarkki for LD 41 (COMPO)

This is my first game jam ever.

I combined Rage and Slow-Paced (They are not really genres, rather mechanics and traits)

Ragerint is a labyrinth game that is surprisingly difficult if not done slowly. You move by dragging the mouse and shooting the ball.

Tools used: - Unity - Gimp - Paint.net - Audacity - Bosca Ceoil - Visual Studio

Known bugs: - Audio stops occasionally

What window's version did you build it on? It's not running for me.

I think, it looks pretty nice for the first game. I hope, you gain some experience, and next time you will do it better. (I'm sure). And yep, please also rate my game :)).

Nice game you have here! I love the simplistic graphics and the game idea, but I don't like the music. I used to experiment with various music generators and always ended up with cringy results myself, so I know it ain't easy. Overall, I like it, you did well on your first time!
@Duck_Games works well on x64 Windows 8.1

@doomista Yeah, music is quite hard for me and I'm not proud of it either :laughing:

Nice game. It looks good and feels neatly done. It's a bit too slow for my patience (but that might be the point ;)), but it's an interesting challenge. I'd have to agree with @doomista on the music though.
Great game, keep it up!

I got 4 consecutive wins, pro skillz 😎. Actually, I just got lucky with the level generation, lol.

Slow and steady wins the race... unless RNG says otherwise. Not bad! Could use a more diverse array of audio tracks, but at least you have audio. :)

I'd recommend working on the procedural algorithm, as the effective difficulty of the levels seems to be all over the place. I had some levels generate with the ball placed on a straight, unobstructed path to the finish line; others required me to go through multiple sets of "wall spikes" with spinning traps at the end, one tile away.

Got a score of 4, 2 of which were with the finish line close to the ball ;) Good job!

The cooldown between being able to move makes this game was less fun than it could be. But the mashup of genres is great and the simple graphics and discordant music go well.
