Notes
In the downloaded zip, extract the files and run the .exe to play! - Was this made to win? No. - Did this become a good game? Not really. - Did we have fun? Hell yeah. - Did we learn more about game development? A lot more.
So yeah, not a game made to win the jam, but more so to be in it and have participated. This was our first LD and I think we did alright for it, and I wonder how many others actually used MonoGame to create a game  (aka. let's not be so unorthodox and use something like Unity next time!) Either way, I hope some of you get some enjoyment out of this, even if it was mostly for learning more about gamedeving, and having fun, and not being the most complete thing, but it could be worse! There ARE many bugs, and more needs to be implemented, but I think it has some amusement value to it as it is right now, as a prototype.

Fun challenge!
Since the balancing is waaay out of whack with this one, how few towers can you beat the game with? I managed to get it down to 5, so let me know if you manage fewer in the comments!

> @nehvis could have used mre than two cards and shooting animations maybe
Yes, this is true. Our intentions were to have many cards and towers, and have the towers attack the enemies with some sort of particle system. However, halfway through the jam we found out that developing for LD on a framework with no engine wasn't the best idea, so we never really got to develop the game far, as 75% of our time was used on creating the engine.
> @remusnomos The game is a bit easy to play, because of the high Mana income and the strong and cheap towers. A higher Price for new cards might be helpful.
So very true. We never got around to doing balancing in the end, because of the aforementioned. Would be a lot better with it, though. We also had an idea for the card price to go up as you got more of them, kind of holding your mana in check.
> @code-dream Music could be louder and a little more of an epic vibe, style is okay too, but could use a little improvements, a little bit harder, played for 5-6 minutes and i got a lot of mana, like 240 and it crashed so yeah hahha
All of these are excellent points, and I feel we could have gotten a lot more out of this, but we haven't given up on this game yet, we might continue developing it after LD / porting it to another engine etc.
Thanks again for the feedback.
What Worked:
Theme, Core Game loop was neat, fun overall.
What Needs some polish:
Placing a card felt weird, not sure why but having a way to move them once placed would be nice.
More card types to keep things interesting
End Game state. Felt like I just got to a wave that never ended so some UI that let me knows wave x out of y.
Really neat game tho! Would def be cool to see y'all polish it up some :)
I loved the artstyle and the music. The gameplay is not very deep but it doesn't matter too much, this is LD! Good job!
