It was a sweet enough narrative, but the player didn't have to struggle at all as much as just turn the next page. Thus, the protagonist's eventual victory did not feel well-earned either. You are right the payoff is greater if the player\/protagonist has to struggle more. And Im sorry that we didnt make it feel like enough of a struggle for the payoff to work for you. Effectively the struggle is elicited by the father in the basement and the first round of scenes where he keeps failing before he gains the strength to fight back. We'll make sure to incorporate your feedback into our next project.
