System Override by thiagofr

[raw]
made by thiagofr for LD 41 (COMPO)

Background

thread number 41, i'm the main program.

our only goal is to breach into this system.

help me by deleting the firewall rules that are keeping me from getting in

we have only 60 seconds to breach through 3 levels of firewall rules

i can only send you signals of which ones you should disable or they'll can find me and everything will be compromised

but beware: you must disable them in the RIGHT ORDER. otherwise they'll get to us sooner than expected

Controls

It's an FPS, so it's the usual move with ASWD and point and shoot with the mouse.

Comment

I'm proud of what I've managed to accomplish since I'm very tired and until halfway through the last day I was still programming main mechanics and deciding the gameplay ^^"

I hope you all enjoy. Please, leave feedbacks!

UPDATE

I discovered one day after the end of the compo a bug that would make the game have only two levels... I fixed it and made another build at my itch.io account. The file is named SystemOverride_x86_post_ld.rar. It will be updated every other time with any fixes and adjustments I end up doing.

Also, the source code to the game will be updated accordingly. To avoid any confusions, I've created another branch, called hotfix-post-ld.

Please, do not consider any post Ludum Dare version to evaluate the game. Play them if you want, but for evaluation purposes, consider only the first version.

Well done! It took a bit to figure it out but once I got it I had a lot of fun.

The mouse sensitivity was way too high for me. When I tried to play it I got overwhelmed really fast, but that was probably just because I was bad (cause the mouse sensitivity, and also because I am bad at video games). The graphics look pretty cool!

Hi there !

Good job buddy, it also took some time to figure out what you have to do for real but after reading a second time all the description it was okay :)

I did beat the game in 20seconds when I understood :p
Great job you can be proud ;)

Graphics are really simple but they do the job, the sounds are a bit "harsh" but it really makes me think tabout the ["Simon Game"](https://www.latoysetc.com/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/full/51z5WCPgo-L._SL1000_.jpg)

@GoZz yeah the idea was to sound like the simon game! Good to know that you thought of it! I'm terrible with UX/UI so I always end up using lots of text...

The sounds made me jump at first, but after a few seconds I started getting it, and had fun with the puzzle aspect. Has potential if polished.
