Toy Run by TimBeaudet
Toys get bored when nobody is watching, sometimes they arrange an obstacle course and time each other through it. Don't touch the obstacles, they will cost lots of time as you stumble back to your feet!
Controls: Arrows, OR W/S/D, (Space also optional)

Trying to simultaneously get a good time and get all the coins was interesting.
The gameplay is a bit more problematic, since I feel like the controls are a bit unresponsive at times. For example when I jump, then crash down and immediately want to jump again, it doesn't let me. But it somehow feels like it should.
Also I find it a bit unclear how high and how long I'll jump at what speeds, but that might just be me. I didn't have any other problems though, so it's all good.
Overall I think it's a very good entry and I do really like it.
You can even make it bigger to more levels or an infinite runner.
Thankfully I was able to just Esc back to the menu when I mess up a good run, but a simple press of R would've been a nice little addition.
That's pretty much my only problem though, aside from the hitboxes which weren't actually that bad.
Also what's the deal with the coins in the Kitchen? I managed to collect them all, but the last 4 didn't get added to the final tally on the leaderboard, even though they did get counted while I was in the level. RIP all golds :slight_frown:
Very funny game ! Everything is good : graphics, gameplay, music, ... Good job !
But I think the controls are too complicated. I have only played the least common denominator runner games, so I was expecting to hold "right" and sometimes hit "up" or "down". In practice, I couldn't jump fast enough because I forgot there was a double jump. Then I would jump too high and hit things. Then I would duck and hit something else. It doesn't seem like I can put the player where I want reliably. I think it needs fewer features, or least an easier easy mode to start with.
The obstacle course itself was fun and challenging, with good looking obstacles.
I think I join previous comments about the controls.
The controls were kind of weird - mainly the fact that if you sprint you can't jump. Also some obstacles kind of require you to prepare before you see them (if you are running) - maybe this is intentional though, to make people remember the level?
Levels were varied and with an increasing difficulty, although getting all the coins kind of seems impossible in the last level?
all in all, a nice game!
Nice to have 3 diff levels too. Feels very complete with menus and everything, which is an achievement.
All in all I enjoyed it :)
Also, to jump you can hold jump to jump higher. (Note that you can double jump, and to do so you need to hold until you reach peak, quickly release and hold again).
Also, while sliding there is a minimum slide distance, but if you hold slide you will slide longer. There is a maximum though. This control explanation brought to you by the makers of Toy Run. Have fun!
PS: TimBeaudet, you haven't been playing any games? Is that what the statistics tell me?
You mentioned installing additional stuff, that's a bit inconvenient.
