I enjoyed this much. Only died the first time because a "snowman" was chasing me with 3 spears in him and the sled did not give me any new ones, i guess that is a small bug. But fun to play.

This is really fun. Love the way you never feel lost because of the way you can follow tracks in the snow. The music was great, the lilting piano was very appropriate for a kind of isolated icy tundra/glacioer feel.

Very nice! The permanence is awesome. It is a bit repetetive, but still, very good entry :)

Cool game. It scared me a bit on the beginning because of the loud sound. Ignoring that sound, the music was awesome !

This game is very atmospheric. The quiet music combined with soft footsteps and your obscured vision give a great sense of isolation. I like the mechanic of hunting down snowmen by following their footsteps. It makes me feel like I'm hunting them as opposed to randomly stumbling upon them. being able to retrace my own footsteps is also a helpful feature. It's a very calming game where I can just sort of get lost and wander, which is nice. That being said, the game is not entirely unguided; the sledge serves as a good focal point for the game as you constantly return to it to feed it fuel and restock on spears. My only complaint is with how long the game is given the repetitiveness of the core gameplay loop (if there even is an ending). The game runs out of new things to show me pretty quickly, meaning I don't have the motivation to see it to the end. That being said, what is there is really fun and quite relaxing. Great work!

Nice little game - good quality art and animation, charming audio, etc! With more time / updates, it would be great to see more enemies as time goes on (to create a stronger sense of progression), and also enemies (probably without oil) attacking the sledge while you're away, etc. But good job :)

I love the cold ambient you succeeded to give to the game (loved the home made wind ^^).
The animation and graphics are cute, attack mechanism is straightforward and precise :)
I must admit I've been a bit deceived by the end, but I understand the lack of time for a compo! Anyway, cool game, nice work! Ping me if you release a post-jam version, I'd like to play it!

Some stuff that could be improved:
- The sledge doesn't leave any trace in the snow, so sometimes it's hard to find it back
- At first I was a bit stressed to leave the sledge alone, then I realized there was no danger, so I just farmed to map to have a lot of fuel (could have been nice to have a disadvantage to leave the sledge alone too long^^)
- I didn't understand first why sometimes some creatures needed 2 attacks to die (it's related to the distance you hit them, right?)

Same toughts as @grena . I just encoutered a bug that when i throw a spear sometimes the spear when re-collected doesn't disappear . Anyway i like the pixel art here and the mood of the scene , congrats for the work!

Your game is absolutely gorgeous. I love the music, sound effects, and pixel art. You should add an ending scene that fits with the backstory. In the win message, the \n escape sequences appear literally.

Combat felt a bit too easy, but was still really fun. Really liked the tracking mechanic, using the footprints of the snowmen to find them. The game felt to be a perfect length and the art and sound were great at establishing the mood of the game.

Nice graphics! The combat and the music felt a bit bland, however it's still really fun!

Sweet game! To bad it ended so quickly. Would have liked to have more gameplay and gamemekanisk (mostly more/diffrent enemies). Overall a Great Game. Keep up the good work!

Very cool! Graphics and sounds were great, even professional-looking. Gameplay was mostly self-explainatory, which is good. I felt a little bad killing such cute enemies (just a little).

The atmosphere that you've managed to create in this project is absolutely incredible! I loved the ambient wind noises and footsteps, combined with the soft piano music in the background. The footsteps appearing in the snow was also a great touch. The pixel art looks great, and I especially loved the animations on the snowmen and on the machine. The gameplay was simple but never felt repetitive, and I thought you implemented the theme very nicely. The small story behind the game also helps build more onto the atmosphere as well. Amazing work, and I'd love to see how you could expand on this concept given more time.

Nice entry! The spear throwing is pretty satisfying and I like the footprints and how they're used to navigate the otherwise empty snowfield. Art and sound work well and the game was just long enough that I never got bored.

Nice graphics, great gameplay! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6R1HDnk8EU

Where's the source? Compo entries must include it!

I know you have the link there but it won't work...

Other than that, loved the graphics, music really built up the atmospehere here and gameplay wise, I found game easy to jump into and quite fun to play.

Great job with this one! Basically aside from source not being included, I have no complains :)

Great music and nice interpretation of the theme, I also really liked the little footprints in the snow. I'm generally not a fan of pixel art but it actually worked pretty well in this game!

Enjoyed this game, liked the title screen font and the overall design of the character, sled and snowman. Thought it all worked really well together. Did seem to have a bug with the first spear I threw though, where I couldn't pick it back up from the floor. The use of the theme to keep the sled moving was also a nice touch. Interested to see what else you do with this to complete it more.

It's too bad that I couldn't rate this game for mood, because it feels really snowy with the overlay and sound effects. I'm glad that I was able to deliver the medicine to my father. I think some additional enemy snowman types or powerups would help this game. It would also be nice to have a way to recover health. I had to be really careful when I was down to my last heart.

Very good game. Really liked the graphics and atmosphere you managed to create.
Just felt a little lost sometimes when I explored a bit too much of the map :p
Congratulations! :)
