Very cool puzzle game! I've got a bug at the 7th stage though: My player disappear and it wasn't a "game over" thing haha. It would be interesting to see more of it with more elaborated levels and all.

Pretty fun, wish you could skip the death animation to speed up the trial and error.

Fun idea. Got stuck on the first level. Would like to see more.

Personal game concept and well executed gameplay, that's a good combination. Good job!

Love the idea, this mage is more powerful than gandalf himself ^^

Nice reversal instead of gaining more and getting worse, having to figure out the first 3 or 4 spells to leave you with enough space for the last ones was a good puzzle.

If anything, I'd prefer a line projecting where you'd be thrown back, and if it would kill you. (or does that make it too easy).

Very nice game, good puzzles. I did have several times where it didn't register death, so R button saved the day.

LOL that was funny, and a super unique idea. I loved the death animation - added a certain charm. Needs polishing of course, but the ground idea is solid, good work! :)

Got to level 7, blew myself off the map but didn't die, won! 10/10.

Very nice idea, the only thing bugging me is the characters limited rotated sprites. It's a little confusing when trying to aim spell shots.

Nice idea. It took me a while to get the hang of it but was fun.

This mechanic has potential

If only it was possible to actually plan your actions instead of trial-and-erroring them all the way down, I would really love the game. The power levels are so unpredictable - for sure we know that 7 is bigger than 2, but exactly by how much?

@zinkler Yeah, there should be some kind of prediction of how this magic will affact, like a highlight or something. Thanks for the advise!

Man, level 7 was rough. Fun, though. Very nice little mechanic for a puzzle game. I disagree that having exact lines of where you go would be good. Part of the fun was having to figure out what exactly would happen. Perhaps a line showing the exact direction you would go, but not how far you would go (or how big the explosion would be).

@aflatthrasher Thanks! I feel that there may be some way to make the gameplay more clear while killing less fun. Haven't figured out exactly how though.

Once I figured out how to play, I found it to be greatly enjoyable, very innovative core game mechanic. Nearly completed the last level, but I got blown up within a bubble, and it wouldn't let me reset. Anyhow, it was still a very enjoyable experience. An excellent game!

Very fun to play, nice idea. The art is also quite nice, overall was a very nice experience and enjoyed playing it. Definitely would suggest putting in a few sound effects. Well done! :)

Nice idea and fun game! really enjoyed the experience. I just have something to ask - Shouldn't you die when you are right next to a wall and shoot a fireball in the opposite direction? I passed most levels by dashing in a way that I would be right next to a wall and then shoot fireballs in the opposite direction of the wall. The fireball radius wouldn't reach me and the pushback wouldn't work (i was already close to a wall so I wasn't "crushed").

@sir-syko Well, that's because I made the "crash" triggered on speed change. If the speed changes too much you crashes. It's the easy way, so I took it to buy some time. Can be improved. Thanks for your feedback!

A very unique use of the theme. The last Levels are a bit difficulty, but the game is a lot fun to play and using being op as down side is very creative. Thanks for making this great Game.

This is a great mechanic loved to play it. It took me a bit to understand what was needed to be done but then i really wanted to finish it but on the last level it got stuck died but no dead animation and could not restart.
The graphics are great the physics as well it is just missing some sound, i think you should really pick it up after LDJAM and polish it up i would definitely play it.

Congratulations

@binaryunit Thanks, the code is a mess now because of the hurry. Need to get it right first.

Cool use of the theme ! The game was a bit easy to beat, but sometimes the restart screen doesn't show up, but not really a problem as there is R key for retry... It was fun to mess around with spells, sometime it takes some die n retry to understand new powers and find the appropriate combination :) The last level was quite harder but the game allowed me to throw all my fireballs while into space so I cheated a little bit >D
Good job ! cheers !

Wow great game!
Really cool take on the theme!
I like how you could feel how destructive your powers were when you saw what happened to the room :D

Well done!
