Mine Your Own Business by Artiko

[raw]
made by Artiko for LD 41 (JAM)

This game is my entry for the 41th LD. The theme was :"Combine 2 Incompatible Genres". I tried to combine dungeon crawler (or rogue-like) similiar to the binding of isaac to coockie clicker. It was my first ever finished project all done by myself (except the music who was made by Marco Ruscone) I learned a lot so, even if it suck (i know it, don't lie to me) it has been very interesting and inspiring!

Simple, with nice mechanics and a good idea! Maybe your first try, but you did well!

Combat could be better, but overall not bad. Its playable and I liked some of the graphics and music that were used. The idea fits the theme pretty well.

I could play this for hours!! Would love an improved combat system and more variation in the scenes. But that's all part of the Ludum Dare curse. Nice game great sound and graphics!

Nice entry ! I really like rogue lites ! But I think this one is too easy ^^ And the "clicker" side is not really developped, that is too bad. But anyway, if you continue to develop the game (with or without the clicker side, obviously it was because of the theme I said that) it could be really fun, and really "athmospheric".

Nice game ! Keep coding :)

It's a really cool submission and could potentially be fleshed out in the future. It's currently very simple but it has things going for it. The mining aspect pushes it a bit in that regard, and I think if you manage to make the fights more interesting it could turn out to be a really cool title.

Don't lose heart! I've read that this is your first finished game, so that's already proving you lots of things. Keep jamming dawg.

The room exits really could look more like exits, as is they blend in so much that I wasn't sure if they were exits at first. Even just making them black would make them better I think.

I don't get the clicker aspect of the game. May i didn't played enough.
A nice improvement in art could be to not mix pixelart and paint art :)

Keep working on games to make even better ;)

@visumecadroide yes it is only outlined, i hoped to have more time in the programming side. My major target was to try to draw something. I think i like my art and yes i later realized that it was a bad idea to mix art style, but it was too late, so next time!

Congrats on your first LD and good job on the game. The dungeon crawl was enjoyable and could be pretty fun with some additional variety. The clicker side felt less developed but it has potential. One thing that would help it out is small descriptions for each of the upgrades so it is more clear what each one does.

I managed to get infinite money, and it didn't even take that long. Very fun, though! It would have been nice if the clicker part could be accessed while in the dungeon.
