I love this. Excellent concept and execution. Remember that old SNES game Actraiser? This reminds me of that! Great artwork and great fast-paced gameplay! Only thing is.. none of my buildings got destroyed! I ended up running out of health eventually but none of the giants ever made it to my town!

Really nice game. It really fit on the theme, and seems to be very polished. I also loved the graphics. Good job!

Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional

Dude I love this. It would be nice if the buildings worked a bit better as cover though

Great Game, executed well enough youd think those two genre belong together.
missed opportunity to have dead building permadead,Also wished items spawned near their creator building. could add an extra layer of strategy. Not sure If i failed to get far enough, but weapon diversity would also nice (thats like a defining feature of twinstick shooters!) oh yeah, as above dude said, building as better cover, they held back more than help!.
Nice concept on its own, potential to grow beyond; nice work.

Super fun! I could easily see this expanded with more weapon varieties, population-based unlocks, different maps, and added strategic buildings like towers and walls. Great job :)

Wow, this is a really cool concept executed well with a lot of little details. The art is super-charming, I love the snappiness of the controls across all of the modes, and the sound & music are on point, too.

It was a lot of fun to tinker around with this, and I loved the variety of enemies, and the way that things would spiral out of control. I felt a tension between building useful buildings together in a clump, and then as I built further around that it was kind of like trapping me in that area during the fights. Combat felt great, too.

Very strong entry, really well done!

very nicely done. Beautiful finished feel to the game, which over the course of a weekend is some achievement , congratulations, this is great!

This game does a pretty successful job of combining twin stick shooting and city management. I like how the calm city building aspect acts as a bit of downtime between high intensity shootouts. I also like how the two halves of the game connect to each other, your facilities giving you powerups during the shooting sections and needing the defend the houses you built during the building section. My one complaint is the lack of additional buildings and enemy types as the game progressed. Having all of the buildings and enemy types from the very start made the game get a bit repetitive, although things did change a bit as the city got larger and more difficult to defend. That aside, I really enjoyed my time with this game. Excellent work!

Very nice job with the game. The concept was cool and it played out well. I would love to see this game continued with more building variety since it was a fun one to play.

Fantastic game! I got a score of 27 after 14 rounds. This combination of genres worked out really well, and I would love to see a more fleshed-out version with more building and enemy variety if you decide to continue developing it.

Incredibly polished game for LD! I felt like there was some interaction between the builds blocking your bullets that was unaccounted for in design. Also, my funds didn't carry over when I didn't use them all, that was kind of annoying. Otherwise great game!

Wow! I think this game is extremely under-played. Really, this is the most polished experience iv'e had yet. I loved every aspect and wouldn't change a thing, only add to make it even better. The art style is simple and brilliantly colored, the music and sound effects fit very well, the movement was solid, shooting enemies felt very satisfying, and town building was quick and easy to understand. Honestly, i would take this even further into the realm of rogue-likes. I would very much love to build towards something greater or upgrade my person after i play through and lose. This is a game that i would definitely buy if there was an end goal and had more content. Superb work!

Clearly one of my favorite game of this entire jam. It's incredibly well polished. The feedbacks are amazings, the intertia of the character is perfect. I also loved the idea of blending Building and pure arcade shooting. I want a complete game like that, PLEASE

One of my favourite game. The idea is super cool and solid, that I have to consider the layout of city while balancing buildings. I see the potential adding some tower defense element into it. The graphics is nice and clean, and controlling super smooth. I felt sooooo good! Congrats and super well done!

P.S.: Why kill cute kitties?

A very interesting and fun game! Game design is well thought out; the shooter aspect is as standard as it gets but the charm really comes from the strategic aspect of the town-building parts of the game. Overall a solid entry!

Wow this is pretty awesome. I love the city building part. In the beginning I was building a very conventional tight grid system (that didn't work so well) and later made the grid wider to make more place for shooting! But what the hell are the enemies haha. Cheese people (more like cats), evil townspeople (zombies), and Ralph??? That's an awesome mix! The controls in this game is tight, and the pace is kept really well. Very well done guys!

Very cool and addictive! I like the artstyle, music and gameplay is so great! But i have a problem with taking damage, game needs some effects, like screenshaking for visualise it more. I just watch at some point of the game to the hp bar and see that i dont have health, but i did not notice that i recieved damage. But all except that is so great, good job!

You must have a crack team to be able to pull something like this off. Its a lot of fun for a short while. The combat is very nicely tuned (reminds me of nuclear throne). I would recommend screen shake and beefier sound effects to improve this game but overall, you pulled off a lot with not much time.

Amazing game! The controls and gameplay worked really well and offered a challenge with a very open-ended solution: Should I build in small clusters but limit my vision, or spread out but risk losing buildings? What about long streets versus large neighbourhoods? My only suggestion would be to make the player move the camera with the mouse while on the building screen and to add more buildings with more power-ups to get.
