Disclaimer: 24th April: Applied a hotfix for some issues with more recent Nvidia cards where the grass surface would not draw properly. I hope this bug did not affect many people so far!

Really cool game. Well done. I play it for a while and enjoy it very much, the gardening thing and fighting the monsters. The graphics are very well done, and the sounds set the mood precisely. Great job!

Incredible mood and nailed the theme. Your genres mixed well together, and you polished it enough to make it pleasant! Controls were a bit wonky, but it almost plays into that old RE vibe.

Cool theme. I was shooting the slimy thing but couldnt manage to kill it. Maybe it's on purpose as bullets will just penetrate a slime without doing any harm?

Also rate/play my game if you want

Good Graphics and responsive controls the only thing bugged me was i was unable to move while switching items and that killed me:( I think using of mouse to switch items would make fix that :)

Visuals are awesome and sounds are pretty good. I really liked this old games vibe like first silent hill or something similar. And the fact that you made it with quake engine is pretty neat.

But to the most constructive part. Shooting controls are not very convenient. You get used to them in first 5 minutes but it is still a bit frustrating. Levels at some point became really big and pretty empty and it is a bit boring to run all the way back to collect a pistol or medkit.

I actually completed half of the game when I realized that I have multiple inventory slots! To this point I was only using the first one. I think you should write something about slots in description.

@Jima Thanks for the feedback, updated description!! The aiming is a bit unpolished, my mistakes were making the hitbox of the enemies too small and also there's an offset to the right with where the bullets come from vs where you aim

Damn it's interesting seeing a game on this engine, i didn't know you can still make game on this, and good ones haha. I really like your game, it's polished and feels really great to play, and the art is cool. Really great entry.

Besides the way weapon switching works which isn't very handy when in a dire situation (I mixed up use/swap binds all the time when I had to confirm my pick), your game is bretty gud! Superb visuals for a compo game, fantastic mood and interesting concept!

Cute style but an occasionally really quite creepy atmosphere.
The item handling controls are a bit cumbersome but that only adds to the tension, I guess. Great entry!

holy crap this actually gave me the willies while playing, damn good job on the monsters and on nailing that silent hill vibe, everything helps to nail down that horror vibe, the foreboding atmosphere, the objective requiring you to scour even knowing freaky blobs are hiding anywhere, the clunky swapping mechanics making combat a real struggle, good job, absolutely fantastic especially for a ludum dare, hot damn!

Cutting grass never felt so scary! Feels good to rely on the machete to dispense of the enemies. The fog effects lent a super creepy feel although sometimes it really obscured the action. The inventory system works well although I kept on muddling controls initially, but once I got the hang of it, it was great. The engine also looks really interesting. Was able to be best gardener ever. Cool entry!

Very nice game overall! But it was a bit too slow paced, the map could have been smaller or the run speed increased

Nice use of the theme and retro survival horror vives, you nailed the mood! The map felt a little repetitive with the limited ammount of elements, but for a compo game the result is really good.
Congrats!

Cool game, I like the art. I think that it could do with there being a bit more ammo, also maybe the game should pause when you try to change weapon but make it a bit better.

Cool game! My only annoyance is the method of changing weapons, it is a bit confusing and I died because I pressed the wrong button and selected the wrong item. The mood was great and it was a good idea to not say in the description what kind of game it actually is, it was good to be surprised :)

Wow that is well polished! The inventory and item switching is the only thing needing a fix.

Great art style and concept!

The only thing I would like to suggest is approving the controls, I think that a lot of them could be simplified, for example, auto equip items when you have empty slots, instead of pressing X and then selecting an item you could use the mouse scroll or even the number key corresponding to the slot position.

Overall it is a solid entry, keep up the good work :)

Graphics are nice and I love how the atmosphere rendered. To finish the whole mechanics is difficult in 48 hours, not mention to the complete level designing. I do hope the character can move a little bit faster LOL

Love the gfx style and the mood that arises with the shadow and the sound effects, but somehow I think the controls need getting used to.
