Instructions

  • :blue_car: Click lights to change them.
  • :red_car: Space to reset level
  • :blue_car: Enter to start level
  • :red_car: Escape to go back to title menu, or Exit game from title menu.

Really cool idea and well implemented. The first few levels were quite easy as you could just let them pile up and then release one after the other. I would have loved to get some more challenging levels.

@smbe19 Thanks for Comment! We intentionally made the early levels in order to teach the player the mechanics of the game, however, do to the limited timeframe it became hard to design harder levels with only the mechanics that we had available.

Guys, I don't want to bear bad news or complicate things, but the Compo is only for games made by a single person. If you actually created Traffic Trouble in a team, you should contact the event organizers and ask them to move your entry to the Jam category.

Anyway, I'm about to play the game right now.

OK, this is good stuff! I enjoyed the experience overall! The graphics are good for the game style, and the gameplay is really nice.

The critical thing that could be improved is the one that smbe19 mentioned: a lot of the levels are too easy by simply turning all the lights red. With some improvements in that aspect, this can become a really cool puzzle game!

PS: Good thing you could move the game from category that easily! Yes, it could be a page error; the website has several bugs here and there.

I found the puzzles great(even though I only played the earlier ones), the graphics are stylish, however, the sounds are very loud and in the menu can be very distracting(especially if multiple cars hit at the same time). I liked it!

Awesome little game! I love the pixel graphics, the sounds effects, and especially the crash effects. Great job! It was fun directing traffic! 5 stars!

This was a lot of fun! I feel like you could quite easily add a competitive aspect to it by awarding ranks for levels based on the time it took to complete them.

Well put together. Cohesive graphics and sfx. Nice car movement. Congrats!

Nice! Great concept, good use of the theme and solid graphics. Gameplay was a bit straightforward, most levels (especially early on) were pretty much trivialized by setting all lights to red and then seeing what happened, though that strategy stopped working for later levels - which was good! forced me to actually learn how to play! :P Would be cool if there were some sort of points system that rewarded completing levels as quickly as possible. Some levels had an issue where the reset icon covered up the crash, which made it harder to learn where I went wrong. Still I had fun & finished the game - lots of potential here! Good work!

Interesting concept but levels are too easy. I completed every level except the one where they go in spiral on first try, until some of the last levels you can just make every light red, wait for cars to go by, make the lights green one by one. Make more with less traffic lights, just putting more of them won't make the level more interesting or challenging. Also, it would be nice too see some cars that required the player to change their plans on the go, like cars who ignored traffic lights or ambulance that needs to get to it's destination before certain time or the player will lose, something like that. I still enjoyed the game tho, keep up the good work!

I've really liked this game, great concept! A bit sad that you can turn red everything then take all your time to find a solution, having a timer or something like that would have be so much more challenging :P Anyway concept is great well done ;)

The game is good, especially the puzzle. But it feels really bored without background music.
