Cool game, I'm not sure why but I find the purple headed molemen extremely cute, first level I got them all to safety, but past that it got reeeally hard, most of them died, after that I rushed without saving the molemen, so I beat it, I guess I half beat it.

For feedback I'd say there are simply too many moles, it gets overwhelming, in later levels I could see myself having trouble wrangling just a single mole. Also their death screams where a tad annoying so I guess we got that in common :stuck_out_tongue:

I have to agree, VolemanFallToHisDeath.wav is... uh... special :-p

Other than that, it's fun, but very difficult. I almost feel like the game would be fine without even _having_ the Advancing Wall of Death, since keeping the Molemen out of pits is hard enough as it is.

The game is simple and fun to play. But there is a super laud noise that differently not is good for my ears. But overall well done.

Cute graphics, fun gameplay, and LOUD NOISES give you a 3/5.
Good job!

Innovative mechanics when you have to keep escaping but also manage your molemans and try to save as many as you can. Adorable graphics and sounds give this game nice atmosphere. Shame that game doesn't reward / punish player based on how many creatures he saved. Anyway pretty neat game with engaging gameplay.

Agree with what other have said. Love the art style - great sprites! I also like the sort of "action-platformer/lemmings" gameplay, but I think a little more balancing/playtesting could go a long way. It seemed like the run speed was a little too fast for the screen size/camera behavior, in particular. Stronger incentives for saving the little guys would have upped the mood score for me. And yes, the sounds were too loud :) But this is definitely a cool game!

The sounds of the molemen dying had me laughing my ass off. The other comments are right though, the sounds are a bit too loud. Still, high points for humor. The graphics are nice too, I'm always a sucker for pixel art.

Very fun and smart gameplay but very hard ! I like how tense and tactic it is. Especially when I try to save molemen that are just about to fall into a hole (and fall myself with them).
Very hard to save the molemen already heading to a hole at the beginning of a game. The wall of fire is not dangerous at all compared to this.

In my PC the game is way too fast. It takes me less than 4 seconds to finish the first level :p
So the game is hard as hell but it's fun and quite innovative. Pay more attention of the game loop duration next time :p Great game tho.

Haha, this was cute and great-looking. I quite enjoyed the mechanic of saving the molemen - really nice idea.

The movement was a bit too fast and floaty to be entirely accurate, especially when it came to the holes and trying to stop just on the edge in order to save as many as possible.

The effect of the fire sweeping across the level looked cool too. Great art!

Pretty pixels and good gameplay I like the sort of action lemmings mechanic. The sounds are a bit on the annoying side. A solid entry!

@bog13 yes, I know. The play speed is locked to vsync, so if it's running too fast, you need to set your monitor/video refresh rate to 59hz or 60hz. Sorry about it! I didn't have time to fix this before the end of the compo period.
