Pretty weird game.

* Graphic looks nice. But different styles of pixel art not make sense (Player created using much bigger pixels than background, for example).
* It's hard to tell where is a platform and where is just a peace of background. Usually in games background are much darker which helps to understand where I can jump.
* Strange physics. Character like to stuck everywhere.
* Some places do not have collision box. Like one of the platforms on the bridge.

But anyway, thanks for the game. I hope I'll see you in next jam.

Love the art here; the vines and character design in particular. The physics did make me feel a little disconnected though from this lush world you've built.

Arts great.. otherwise seems liek a pretty normal platformer. Camera was kinda glitchy. A few sounds would hav been a big plus!. At anyrate, thnx for sharings (-:

That's a good concept you got over there. Art is cool, missed some sfx. Physics are pretty basic and there's a lot of room for improvements, but overall, well done!

Great start here! I enjoyed the art style and character design. The enemies were interesting as well. I would love to see sound effects and music in this.

The physics seemed inconsistent at times. I had a lot of trouble with the diagonal slope after the bridge. I couldn't jump all the way across, and I couldn't seem to jump once he started sliding down. It was also difficult to differentiate the platforms from the background. I would try to increase the contrast here and make it more apparent. Keep up the great work!

I liked the sprites of the main character and enemies! Probably would look great if they were animated! The main character's attack and jump already look pretty good even though each is only one frame.

Some of the hit boxes were too big - I found myself hitting enemies when they were still pretty far from me.

I encountered a few bugs:
- after the first sacrifice, in the boss fight, I went off screen to the right and my character disappeared and I couldn't get it back :(
- during the final boss fight at one point I fell beneath the bottom floor and then the level restarted but I couldn't click on the "sacrifice shield" button
- There's a problem with the game camera - e.g., in the final boss, if I go left to the edge, the camera won't move left to show me where I'm going, but then it will suddenly move when I look back right at the boss

Anyway, I had a lot of fun, especially with the boss fights! (the final boss was really hard to beat :) )

Omg guys, @matank @drekler @andremariano @miley @edward-dassmesser and @chrismcmath thanks for all of those great feedbacks!

My partner Mika had already participate of some gamejams but I've never had the guts to try because I feared the poor quality result of the game. But it was such a great experience and Ive learned so much that I cant wait be part of the next one <3

Like others said it's hard to know if some part are plateforms or background. When you move left you die (and the camera don't follow your character).
But congratulation for shipping your game. It's the main purpose of this jam and you did it! =)

The game has great potential, you should seriously consider working on it post Jam, I think it would be great if you did! The jumping felt really off sometimes however, and I missed platforms because the player didn't jump as high as before, and also jumping on the slope was a nightmare. Anyhow, good game and would love to see this be developed further.

@roka-josh Thanks for the feedback :D

Actually we are working in a stable version only with the boss battles and increasing the gears and enemies behaviors. Soon we will post some of it in our twitter accounts:

The graphics looks nice, but if you added animations, it would look much nicer. Also, it is very quiet, so adding sounds would be nice.
