bouncy arts by wowa
Play as a ball with the ability to slow down the time. But be aware that with each use of your special ability you have to sacrifice a part of your health, so use it wisely.

How to perform the powerful jump: 1. pressing and holding the right mouse button to activate slow motion 2. aim for the direction and press the left mouse button 3. release the right mouse button
Have fun!

Also curious why the yellow orbs break into pieces that need to be picked up instead of the orb just giving you 1/3 of your shield back?
I'm not sure if it's intended, but since the jump resets on touching any wall/floor, I've found some parts where I can kind of cheat through the levels without using the special ability by either continuously jumping against the wall to "climb" it or by jumping as soon as I hit the ground to jump higher and higher cause of the momentum. It seems as though you would have to use your special ability to overcome some of these hurdles.
@adventureislands
Yeah you're right, the moving platforms could be a bit faster.
About the yellow orbs: I wanted the player to earn his shield. My thought was, if the player would recharge the shield just by collecting the orbs, she/he could easily perform one power jump after another, like: power jump; recharge; power jump; recharge; and so on. So you could play easily just with one rechargeable "piece" of shield. But with the collectable pieces you need at least one shield to spent to recharge it back with a little bit more. Otherwise you need to collect the single one piece by performing normal jumps, so you need more effort to recharge your shield. So I thought / hoped this would give them more value.
@woergbi
It was intended this way and i'm very glad you figure it out :) I wanted to give the player as much freedom as i could to reach the goal and to choose how difficult a level should be to for yourself.
It's so minimalist but feels so great!
Really well done, one of my favorite entry so far!
In terms of feedback, I found myself wishing slow-mo was a keyboard button or something a lot. I kept getting my wires crossed frantically clicking between the two mouse buttons and frequently messed it up. As another commenter @shweep pointed out this made it tough to find a rhythm. But I could see this playing spectacularly on a touchscreen, aiming with one finger and pressing an on-screen button for slow-mo with the other. Please keep going with it!
Got stuck on the second to last level, but I'm glad it amped up the challenge. Maybe could have been a smoother curve up to that point, though.
Good work. Here's my play :https://www.twitch.tv/videos/344729947?t=02h10m10s
@Shweep I guess you speak about moving lava panels. Yeah i did this part wrong and had no time to fix it. Also there are some bugs with the physics. Thank you for your feedback!
@Potku Thank you very much! About the control while slow motion, it's intended, to make the game a bit easier.
@rumor Thanks for your feedback! About the mouse control, sorry for that, i'll keep this in mind.
@mrjoshuamclean Thank you very much, especially for streaming it was very helpful to see you playing :) The idea with the board is great i keep it in mind.
@Velocity7 Thanks! And thank you for the bug report.
@Morg Thank you very much and thank you for streaming. I enjoyed to watch you playing.
I literally got stuck on this screenshot. While the player is in red tint, it can't jump anymore. When that happened, I have to force restart the level.
Regardless, a very creative and solid entry. Reminded me of the old Game Maker game entitled "Focus" by 2DCube (Jesse Venbrux). Great work on this game.
I enjoyed plaing it very much. The only thing that maybe better if you make a web version of the game.
Good luck to you!
Congrats for this very polished entry.
There are two very minor things that I noticed. First, I might lower gravity after using a slow-motion push. I think it'd feel better and give more power and control. The other thing was levels, I feel like this game works way better in more compact levels.
Anyway, great jo,b it's super good. Congrats.
