DESCRIPTION: You're happy, you're a hammer, now off you go. Spin through two action-packed levels and break every breakable object in sight, all while avoiding falling into the endless void lying below all known reality. Let physics become a suggestion as you bash around and propel yourself through the power of believing. Search through collectathon-like levels for a sense of purpose and fulfillment as you wonder what led to you being a smiling hammer hurtling through space.

Controls A-D to move left and right Space or W to Jump S or J to ground pound, giving your hammer more height, and a faster fall.

THEME: Happy Hammer is a Physics Based 2D Precision Platformer.

You really **nailed** it with this game. Nice music and interesting mechanics. It's fun once you get a grip on controls. Well done!

As soon as I figuread out mechanics it was fun to play, it was hard, but in a good sense.

WHAT A DIFFICULT GAME Its addicting! It took me to master the total control of the hammer (although it is very simple to play) but it is quite complicated to get all the boxes perfectly. The amount of hearts also did not help much, but still a very good game. I could not really identify the theme in the project, but that does not change the fact that it's a great job.

@very-bad-bunny, yeah the theme is a little weird, it's a Physics Based 2D Precision Platformer. I'm surprised you attempted for an all boxes run. Anyways I am really glad about the feedback you gave.

You should be able to hold S to go down, tapping feels awkward

Amazing game. Controls and hammer movement feel great and levels are designed well. Great job with those propelling arrows.

No bugs that I've seen. Solid entry. Cheers!

Well, i think i found my purpose - indefinitely flying through space and time...![screen.png](///raw/a20/d/z/140c0.png)

All jokes aside, pretty nice platformer, with a large level to explore.

Super neat platformer. Really polished mechanics! Took me a little bit to get used to the dash, but once you get around it it becomes a nice and smooth challenge. The art style, camera effects and little sound fx add up to make it a really nice experience. Good job!!

Really good job, a very good choice of genres to combine that worked surprisingly well together,

ooooooo the combo sound effect is TIGHT!!!! I loved the feel of the controls in this game. It's very responsive and requires a lot of focus and precision. The level design here is awesome too! IDK if you did it delibrately but there was a perfect design in level 2 where if I fall down by mistake I would get boosted up by one of those "boosters", thus given a second chance to go up. You've done a great job!

My favorite thing was the green bubble that launches you horizontally. That was very satisfying! Well done!

Love the pixel-art, the hammer looks really cute. I also like the combination of themes. Music was amazing too.
Some critique:

As soon as I started the game, I was greeted by a welcome screen explaining the controls. This gave me a very bad first impression. Besides, the tutorial level already explained the controls in a fun interactive way.

One of the main points of this game is the Physics mechanic. I really enjoyed ground pounding to gain extra height. But overall, the movement felt wonky, especially moving horizontally in the air. It just felt really awkward.

And then I fell off the map. I expected to respawn at the beginning of the level, but instead I kept falling forever. From according to the description of your submission, I can assume that you knew about this:
```"...while avoiding falling into the endless void lying below all known reality."```
If this is a design choice, it is a really bad design choice. Honestly, go add a death plane.
Please don't be discouraged by all these negative things, there were a lot of things I liked about this submission. Just felt the need to point these things out.
@shimapleleaf thanks for the feedback, it will be really helpful for next time and for improving this game after the Jam. Yeah, I did not know of the void until a few people pointed it out, sorry
I really love the art style and music. The controls feel nice, at least in the tutorial part.
The next level is very big and I was immediately hooked by exploration, but in the end I'd say it was a little bit too hard for my liking, and it didn't feel fair due to the slow horizontal control.
The hammering mechanic is really awesome, and the camera shake fits it very well. It might be just me but I felt a bit dizzy after some time playing, maybe I would have used the camera shake only when hammering ? It might be just me honestly, my stomac is in a very bad shape today.
Overall it's a solid entry ! Keep making games :) <3
This is such a good concept and really fun to play once you get the hang of the controls, which could use some fine-tuning. Aside from that though it's a nice little game with a great core concept that I would love to see further explored
