How many Critters™ can you take care of at once?

In Critter™ Sitter, you have to keep all the Critters™ alive, but more just keep showing up! Do your best to manage your Critters™ so that they live the fullest lives they can!

Critters5.PNG Critters6.PNG Critters_7.PNG

How to Play

 • What do I do?: Critters™ will be popping on screen constantly. Do what you can to keep them alive!
 • Feeding: Critters™ gotta eat! Feed them with the left button to give them food.
 • Loving: Critters™ need love, play a mini-game with them using the right button. (Mini-game controls vary)

Critter_Casual.png In casual mode, there is no true objective, only a sense of dedication and responsibility. Critters™ will constantly spawn on screen, and you, the player, must try to keep as many alive as possible.

Critter_Survivepng.png In survival mode, you must not let a single Critter™ die! Last as long as you can, taking care of each Critter™ until one inevitably perishes.

I really liked this game; it was a lot of fun, provided good audio feedback (when a critter was unhappy), and had a "figure it out" feel to the minigames that mostly just worked. I just wish there was a plausible way to keep it going when more than ~8 critters were on screen --at that point a single minigame just takes way too much time. Either way, great job with the theme, and adorable game!

Great entry! A completely unique theme and the amount of polish was great! I love all of the types of critters and the animations unique to each of them. A complete home run on the art and sound and presentation.

Love the way this game goes with the theme. It reminds me of my childhood; having like 6 tamagotchis and all of them dying.

I need to stop playing, I killed way too many critters. Definitely on point for the theme, but man do I feel bad about myself now.

Very addictive and cute but death of the first Critters™ was a shocking experience!

Probably the highest rated game by me yet. I felt like I had 7 tamagotchi in my pocket at once, who could now that will be so annoying but in a positive way. For now (and this is my 3th day of searching in LD games) my favorite game. Great job !

Cool game! Really like the way you integrated the theme. (also strangely got me googling where i can order a tamagotchi, but that may be just me :P)

Lovely graphics and sound, you recreated the tamagotchi experience faithfully. I love the small minigame of rock-paper-scissors. Nice job!

Absolutely brilliant interpretation of the theme with period sfx and visuals. There were no complicated mechanics to figure out so I could get down to business right away. I thought the pacing might be a tad too quick. I think you want players grinning and basking in the nostalgia for a bit longer before it becomes a hilarious challenge to feed them and hug them all. Then again, maybe that's what the casual mode is for.

I loved the idea ! Tamagochis always got boring to me at some point, but here you don't have time to get bored ;p
Love the graphics too, it's really tense and all. Congrats ;)

That was amazing! A little difficult to manage (especially with the minigames) but I think that's the point. Really amazing implementation.
I would have never imagined a Virtual Pet sitting game.

Keep up the great work!

Wholly nailed the aesthetic, completely nails the experience of taking care of Critters™ as a kid, from graphics to music. Game ramps up in difficulty at a good pace, although it didn't take long to become unmanageable for me, haha.

One thing I will note though is I'm still not quite sure how to play Rock Paper Scissors. I would pretty much press randomly every time.

@jjjjason that's prettymuch how you play rock paper scissors - it's sort of designed to take longer or shorter just based on random chance, to mix up the routine a little bit.

Nice tamagochiing! At first I thought it would be just some topping up, but then I saw the minigames in each, evil! :D

I wouldn't have made a casual/non casual distinction here, but just one game type. Would have loved a 'you can lose only X creatures' rule, then I could have had a creature graveyard in a corner :P

Wowowow. That escalated quickly.
Funny game, funny idea, but why did you extract thoose devil creatures from the hells where they belong?!
I tried two or three times the survival mode, but they die too quickly, so I tried the casual mode once. It was fun, but I still don't understand why sometimes they die when they're happy…
Good job anyway, it was fun to play!

Nice game! It took me a while to realise that there were minigames and how to play them. I didnt see why I was game over, it would be nice to present some feedback to the player. Nice art and music. :)

It's a really pretty game and a lot of fun. The music/ sound is really nice too. I remember the nightmare of too many tamagotchi when I was a kid- we used to give them to our parents to look after when they got banned at school, so I really like the idea. A little more instruction on the minigames would be helpful because I lost a couple before I realised what was going on. Otherwise, a really inventive an d polished feeling game.

Enjoyed the way you interpreted the theme. Thought it was an interesting take with the mix of tamagotchi and management system. The sounds and music also worked well in setting the retro vibe to the game which was a nice touch. Liked playing and seeing how many I could survive with. Fun challenge.
