Foggy raft by dimlight
The sun is rising.
Waken up from a deep sleep, you found yourself on a lonely, deserted island.
The ocean around you is covered with mists, and though it was calm, you feel something unspeakable that seems to lurk in the mist.
Game goal: Gather 3 treasure boxes and defeat the monster in the heavy fog, before all the treasure boxes are assembled, please avoid the monster as far as possible.
Building your own raft
How to build and navigate
How to run away
How to fire

You have 80 pieces of wood at beginning, you can use them on the island optionally to extend your raft or to make tools.
Navigation
To sail alone on the foggy sea, enter navigation mode through the bottom left button. Moving on the chart by burning your deck, the more decks consumed, the farther you sailed.
Searching for the treasure
There’re all kinds of treasure in the sea, and your compass will point to the nearest treasure — if it still works.
Islands
You can get wood on the islands.
Sunken ships
You can find tools or wood on the sunken ship.
The explored islands will continue to provide light sources.
To escape
It’s impossible to defeat the monster with the power of a mortal. If you are caught before assembled all the treasure boxes, run away as quickly as you can! Use ↑↓←→ to move, space to cut down the deck. To throw the wood into the smelter will make you run faster. If you are caught by the monster, you’ll die. After successfully escaping from the battle, you’ll get a quick sailing chance.
Decisive battle
After assembled all the 3 treasure boxed, the monster will start to evade you. Chase it and win!
1.1 fix bugRepaired:
- the problem of displaying HELP page after clicking around the compass
- the problem of unable to open the credits page

We finished!
Have fun!
I normally hop into games and try to figure it out without looking at the help docs, but I'll say this one was a bit tough to do that with. There's so much content to it! Really impressive. Enough strategy to keep it going for a while.
One implementation critique, since I always try to leave a little critique! :p The hitbox around the compass seems to encroach on the map. Every time I traveled into the SW corner, it would open the help menu. Minor thing, but definitely made me want to avoid that corner!
Seriously fun, and I love how the theme bleeds into so many of the mechanics. Having your fuel source linked to the geometry of your ship was a really, really cool way to handle that resource and bring it back into the theme. Really great work!
However, even after figuring that out, I still was unable to reliably escape... I managed to escape once, but consumed all but 2 of my deck pieces in doing it, and then was attacked again the next turn, and, well, that was the end of that ^_^.
Looks pretty nice, although some of the graphics (maybe just in the tutorial?) look to be scaled with filtering and look out of place compared to the rest of the great pixel art =). I ended up playing in a tiny window the first time because it looked blurry when maximized, but on closer inspection it seems the actual gameplay all looks great =).
Finally, I spent a hour to get through it
And after a long fight, the ending picture really heal my heart, it is so fxxking cute!
The MacOS version is now uploading, but there's some problem with the Internet connection, and I'll mention you after it's uploaded… Coming soon!
Amazing graphics that throw me right back in the old days of SNES games (I mean prettyyy ones). Mood was amazing with the different views... I had a hard time understanding the mechanics though and it takes time to understand the use of all the items you can build. The theme is respected but could be a little more present in the gameplay, tough the idea is good !! (removing space to move was the thing that I found really good) Sound and music are reaally good too :-)
And the overall "story telling", like how you make the monster appear and the scening... Great !
Big GG !
Check our game shblow ;-)
The graphics, gameplay and the music are the highlight for me.
Try our game too, maybe you'll like it)
But my WASD keys don't work, so I have to use arrow keys which I'm not used to.
We will upload better control version!(and more things)
Thanks for your Feedback!
What a game.
I would never think that such a game could be made for a game jam. I was really amazed. Congrats!
But overall really impressive
But we'll do it better in the future, thanks for the feedback.
although I have already buy GMS2(but only Windows too;(),I not used to it.
You can love it that I'm happy;D
Overall a very good game. Sound was great, screen transitions smooth. Great job.
I still don't understand the battle against the monster (I think you should keep all your game played with the mouse, it's very awkward to switch to the arrow keys and space bar.
A lot of the features need to be refined but it's a very ambitious game, so congrats on implementing so much!
Good job! Please tell here me if you make a postjam version. :)
