Evil Money by interpol
One day a simple man found out that his PC was stolen... Right behind his back. There was a little note from the thief: "If you want to see your pc again - bring 1.000.000". We don't know, why this PC was so important to him. Maybe there were some bitcoins. But we know that this man will do anything to bring his treasure back!

UnityPlayer.dll is missing, don't delete it before you zip the folder :)
Warn me as soon as you send it again. Thanks!
UPD: It was my first build in the new version of Unity (2017.2). They've just added .dll split.
Also, your shadow are awesome, did you use 2DDL with unity? I'm looking to the same effect for other game but didn't tried nothing yet.
Also, if you can, try my game :) It's for local multiplayer, but you can have an idea what it is about playing alone :)
No, It's a 3D game, so the shadows are default, because we have no time for writing custom pathfinding in 2D (and experience). But we really want to use 2DDL for cool 2D shadows.
But, the enemy's spotting FOV is very simple: raycasts + generated mesh on it with custom material. I think it's better to write a nice shader for that kind of purpose. I can suggest you to look in that direction to have the same looking effect!
Dropping money helps you to lose some weight (money slows you down) and you can distract an enemy if you drop some cash in front of him (only if he can't see you).
I will never throw away my money.
Never.
If you opt to iterate further on the game (you should), some way to turn off security lights/cameras would add some additional fun and challenge (I initially found myself trying to figure out how to do just that).
Great job!
But your idea is good. Some good mechanics like in Monaco will be really nice. We didn't have so much time to implement complex tiers (we have only 3 difficulty tiers and 1 special tier with door), but we thought about some mechanics which will be based on player's playstyle.
Having view cones not project through solid objects is a really cool effect, and it fit in with the stealthy gameplay quite well!
Issues:
- I glitched through walls a few times while playing.
- detection is a bit wonky. Sometimes it would be delayed a second or two after I had moved out of vision, and with one camera I was able to avoid detection by standing in a certain place and not moving while it swept over me - standing still in other places didn't work.
- More of me being bad than anything, but I never figured out that you could distract guards by leaving money and dodging out of sight. maybe make that more prevalent in description / tutorial?
Feature Idea you've probably already thought of: it would be neat if the sound changed once you'd been spotted. The music did get a bit stale later on.
On the whole, a good time!
It adds the feeling that he saw you, without paying attention to it, but then he realized
Overall, good game, but furniture colliders are strange and sometimes you can glitch in them.
About the money distraction: it may be in tips in loading screen (but not certainly, because they are random). We wanted to give the player some sense of exploration, when he finds some hidden mechanics!
Impressive that you made so much in just a 3 days!
Once i glitched throug a wall close to a plant.
Really nice work!
First of all, I fount the all star reference really funny. I did not really expect that.
Concerning the graphics, I liked the artstyle and everything fits pretty well together.
Concerning the audio it was great the music sounded interesting and reminded me of the pink panthern!
Overall I enjoyed this game and I had such an amazing time playing it. I became kind of frustrated though because I’m not that good and did not manage to get 1000000 dollar. It was addicting though. I’m totally going to come back to this game later. Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future!
Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

It's not so bad that you didn't reach the goal. The goal is not so important, the more important is your experience.
Keep coding !

Was fun to play :)
Great job!
Yes, the alarm automatically disables itself if you will hide from the enemies. They will lose you after 5-10 seconds, but they will be aware for a short time.
I really liked the progress bar that showed you exactly what your goal was, how you could be greedy and still out-manoeuvre the guards and also the sound effect of picking up the cash. Fitting music too. You should be proud of making a solid game for your first jam. I feel the same way, we made a quirky little game called Althea and the magical fruit (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/$53149) If you have a chance I hope you can give us your thoughts! All the best with your next game jam, I definitely can't wait for the next one :)
Anyway, good job!
Very good work. I'll be sending and recommending Evil Money to all my friends :)
We are very happy to see that you and the other people like our game!
Very funny, simplistic, quick restart - which was the key here :)
Nice choice of music.
One thing i would check out is some colliders let you cheat and go through walls :D
Great entry!
