Sushi Secret by RainbowJam

:hugging: Cheeky gif to kick things off
:pencil: Description
Are you ready for an action-packed, survival-horror game with a twist at every corner? Good! Here at Secret Sushi Games TM we are all about that ~~(but this isn't that kind of game)~~
Collect the sushi in the trays and send them off to the customers; but don't let too much sushi go through on it's own. Free sushi? That's bad for business!
See how long you can last and collect that sushi!
 Inspiration (potential spoilers)
We got this idea from an old TV series we both used to watch called Drake and Josh. In the show the mcs have to work in a sushi boxing factory(?).
And much like in our game the conveyor belt gets faster and faster. We aimed to give the players the same effect as was seen in the show: a slow build of panic as the sushi flies by at increasing rates.
I feel like we could definitely have made the build up a bit slower but with the addition of the surprise we felt this was an alright pace
:mousethreebutton: Quick Controls
Use your mouse to click and drag objects, collect sushi into the trays and drag them back onto the conveyor belt. Throw anything that's not sushi away, you don't want that getting out to the customers!

Needs more MTX to compete with games nowadays though.
rhythm changed very quickly and exciting, but interesting enough
that a liitle bit hard to mouse-click and drag when these stuff were too much.
haha,i have to say i really panic when the fist time i saw my mechaine smokeing
very interesting.

Now, really. This game was extremely deceptive. You deserve a round of applause. Let me go a bit more in depth about how I feel about it.
The game is very straightforward. You pack up the sushi and deliver it, hoping none goes to waste. The physics were functional, and it was overall very intuitive.
Then the game took a turn for the macabre. I'm not gonna spoil it, but, oh gawd. I laughed and spazzed the moment I found out what the heck was going on.
Great work, and congratulations on making a game with the "you have to play it to believe it" feeling to it. In behalf of our team, I hope that your game gave you a higher feeling of pride and accomplishment than any lootbox can provide. :whale:
Good job, you made a very funny entry ^^
And the 'AE' crates. Niiiiiiiiiiice!
Maybe add an element where it's obvious that I can pick up the item (like a glow on the outside) as I had trouble clicking on the hitbox of some of the items in the game.
Cheers anyway had alot of fun in game, and my sides were splitting at the secret :yum:
The "snapping" and mouse move was fairly intuitive for the most part, however one of the pieces of trash got "stuck" on my cursor and the game ended shortly after. I suspect part of this is due to using the web version, and the way mouse events work when the mouse cursor exits the window (In short: dang fangled internet machine!!!). Not sure there's a good fix for that honestly, beyond some code that tries to detect and handle missed mouse events. (Code that will inevitably be surrounded by comments containing expletives.)
Overall good work! The crates were a nice touch for something in a LD time scale.
@cosmic-adventure-squad Thank you! Getting the balancing right was quite hard, as me and RainbowJam got very used to playing the game so we had no idea if it was too hard or too easy, but we did want it to be an 'unwinnable' game.
This was fun and entertaining, I've played a few other games that were similar to this and so far this one has been the best one I've played :)
