Because of reasons, The Bad Guys have crossed space, and maybe time, to attack the smallest world Smolwurld! The whole of Smolwurld's military force (you) must fight back with everything you have.

Hop in your tank and aim using the mouse. Fire with the left mouse button. (A) and (D) to move left and right. Watch out for the bombers attacking the planet itself. Every time you miss the endless night comes a little closer.

Nice game, we almost got the same idea there https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/attack-of-the-planetary-vampires good sound and gameplay, love the power-ups but it almost felt a bit to easy. Cheerz!

This was fun! It has a great light-hearted fast-paced vibe.

For points of feedback, I wish my bullets were a little bigger so they had more presence. And wowzers those rockets! When I fell behind on the pink ships, I'd have to shoot low to get their rockets, and sometimes I'd fall behind and never get to shoot the ships.

But on the flip side there were some great high points. I felt like a beast when I had doubleshot and automatic, and was just lighting up the sky with a crazy stream of bullets and blasting everything to pieces.

The bombs that threatened the planet itself were a nice design choice, too, giving me a little something extra to worry about.

Really nice job.

Fun game. Music works pretty well with the graphics.

Power-ups were nice except for the thunder one, I think its too overpowered and the sound effects of the shots get really annoying while shooting with it.

I died when the night started to fall because I couldn't see the blue shoots.

Nice job overall.

ok I won't lie, the rapid fire powerup gave me a laugh. it came in at just the right time and I was like *I HAVE THE POWER*

the cute music looping seamlessly also made it very enjoyable. great work.

Uhh, yeah. I had a lot of fun with this game. Nice job. The power ups were rewarding (especially the rapid fire one), and the gameplay got super hectic. I got like 65k points I think? Not sure how that compares. But it was really satisfying and a lot of fun to play.

Fun game, just a classic shooter, reminded me a bit of missile command. Wasn't sure if the graphics were super blurry for a reason, but after a while I figured it was intentional.

I liked the music, the art style worked, and the controls were solid, but my favorite part were the particle effects when you blew up a ship. If they just disappeared or faded away, it would have been missing something. Them shattering and falling to the ground was a really nice touch.

This is great! I got a proper laugh at the rapid fire power-up, that is a serious escalation in ability! The sound is great, the gameplay simple but fun, and all very well put together. Well done!

Good job overall! I think there was a reasonable difficulty progression, but I would have liked some kind of power up that would be between the normal firing rate and the lightning firing rate. The lightning firing rate was basically "clear the whole screen" and the normal firing rate felt a bit weak at later stages of the game even with the triple bullet.

Got 15600 points. I avoided the lightning bolts but now see that I shouldn't have. Oh well. Nicely put together and complete experience.

Nice music, art and variety of enemies! Kept avoiding the lightning bolts though.... But anyway, well done!
