Arden's Artisan Artefacts by blinry

Sure, sacrifices must be made… but who has the time to actually make them?
You're the new owner of "Arden's Artisan Artefacts", which offers a convenient solution: handmade, sustainable sacrifice sculptures for all occasions! Today's modern cultists don't need to produce offerings themselves – they can stop by at Arden's Workshop and pick up a built-to-order sculpture exactly according to their wishes!
Click on items to pick them up or drop them. Drag or use your scroll wheel to rotate them. You can stick items to the base object on your workbench, and get new items from the clutter box in the bottom right. But make sure to keep an eye on your inventory!
Made with LÖVE. To run the Linux and macOS versions, install LÖVE 11.2.
Thanks to rohieb for beta-testing! The music is “Industrial Ferret” by Kevin MacLeod. The brick texture and the wooden texture were created by Freepik.
:camerawithflash: The post-jam version contains a sharing feature, which you can use to post screenshots of your creations on the ArtisanArtefact Twitter account. That's the only difference. For both the post-jam and the jam versions, feel free to take screenshots of your favorite artefacts and post them in the comments below!

download it NOW you won't regret it:

I call it Saskatoon Pi with worms.
But one thing: *RATE SOME GAMES* I found this in the 0 section, no one's seeing your game because you're not rating or commenting on any games, and this here could potentially win something! Don't let it go to waste!
So those of you who've seen the image might be wondering what this game is all about since the description is a bit vague: You build "sacrificial" alters to customers.
- Vampires
- Gnomes afraid of monsters
- Little girls wishing to appease the tooth fairy
the game manages to be outright hilarious with very minimal dialogue. Of course as the customers are varied so are the orders. To build these alters you use various nicknacks, besides the large assortment in the above image you'll also need to use items like:
- Tomes
- Skulls
- Octupus Tentacles.
Then why not just build whatever? Each item has a set of weights assigned to it: (Physical) weight, "fluffiness", shininess to name a few. Usually you're given a goal to reach but sometimes you're constrained.
To give you an idea the most complicated order I saw was:
- Reach the cuteness goal
- Keep it "light" by adding as few "heavy" parts
- Give it a flower shape
(Also a tip here: for shapes the bar goes down if you exceed the outline a lot)
There were a few minor glitches, the way pieces attach to each other is a bit weird and you kind of can run out of room... But all that said it's really impressive that you could make a game like this in 3 days with so few people.
So guys *please* help me rescue this from zero, it belong in the upper ranks!
Sounds and visuals are all very charming.

_Behold, edgy (literally) mysterious witch Santa_.
Can you tell us what operating system / version you are using, and which version of Löve (except when you are using the Windows EXE file, which come with Löve built in)?
If it's not too much work, maybe also send us a screenshot.
I'm using the Windows version on Windows 10 64bit. I don't know if it has to do with my graphics driver or not. It's Intel Core i5.
I just found that other LÖVE 11 programs seem to have the same problem on some specific Windows/graphics combinations (see here: https://love2d.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=85649).
I hope we will find a way to fix it. Until then, could you try to update your graphics driver or try to play it on any other computer?
(Or even try to play it on the same computer but on Linux... I think my laptop also has Intel Core i5, but the game works correctly on it - I'm using Ubuntu Linux.)
Also, what LÖVE version do you have, and what macOS version?

The game really relaxed me with its atmosphere.
I found that creating the larger shapes could be a bit tedious, since occasionally you're just waiting for a needed part to show up (this becomes frustrating when the effigy has the 'not heavy' requirement as you can't dump pieces on your work any more).
Part of it's charm is the way it's been polished, it mostly weaves in the tutorialization quite naturally. (Except for the rotation, and a couple of other things like 'you have limited space' and 'storage is finite', but those are easy enough to figure out. Also on the last 'level', the humonculus needs to be light and that isn't mentioned I think?)
In a similar vain, the snapshots of the players work at the end are a nice touch.
... and of course I likes the characters and/in this world, neither of which are given a full explanation, but hint at something much stranger stories :-)
@salierus @garymarance @themadprogramer I'm currently working on a blogpost about this game and would like to include some of your pictures there. Would that be ok for you?

But seriously, this game is great!

The art style is coherent, consistent and very good. Overall a fantastic game
That said, love-Files usually run on Android just fine (The Löve-Engine used to be on the Play Store, but it's gone and there's no apk-Donload for 11.2. This [apk for 11.1](https://bitbucket.org/rude/love/downloads/love-11.1-android.apk) should work though). iOS is technically possible, but politically difficult.
If you connect an Android phone to a mouse via Bluetooth or USB-OTG-adapter, it should work just work and be playable. We didn't test it yet.
