Shifting Sands

2D Top-down Pixelated Shooter

Controls:
WASD - Move
Up/Down/Left/Right Arrows - Shoot

An arcade-style boss fight game featuring one shape shifting boss.

Due to issues with Unity we were unable to finish the game. We did not get to finish the level design, boss balance, audio, animations or menus.
We have a playable thing, which was our goal and we are content with that.

Is this a unity game? I think you missed the data folder, or stopped the build process prematurely.

Well, your updated link is just a folder with no way to download it- I added it to my Drive, zipped it up, and downloaded and it and it worked, so you might want to try sharing a zipped version.

Cool game, I really enjoyed the twist of being able to shoot your enemy's bullets and watching them spiral around with physics. Unfortunately when he transformed into the sand fly the game just hung with no way to progress. Clicking didn't do anything, but maybe that's just where you ran out of time.

Aha! Finally managed to get a hold of that data folder. Do have to note I still had to go somewhat out of my way in order to get it. Perhaps you could zip the contents and provide a mirror.. As for the game, it was kind of easy to spoof your way around and still come out glorious. Otherwise, controls were pretty smooth and responsive (which isn't a given).

In the future, you need to provide the executable and data folder packaged together into a SINGLE zip file. Forcing people to download them and piece them together is unacceptable.

As for the game, I tried everything and I couldn't figure out how to fight back against the monster. You need to have some sort of instructions on how to play your game or people will be unable to play.

Thank you for the feedback. I won't update this project but I will learn about proper file packaging for the future. Thanks!
