I loved the roar dance (roar while moving).
Did find 1 bug - reloading left you with 2 weapons
Did find 1 maybe bug - some of the creatures seemed to get stuck *ON* some of the wall tiles.
Once again very well done.
As I moved away from the center, map tiles popped in and out of existence visually, and the graphics didn't seem to line up with the colliders so I was unable to tell where I could move. In case it's helpful, I used FRAPS to record a quick demonstration of what occurred, and I've uploaded it to youtube as an unlisted video:

My system is Windows 7 and I played the rc1 build trying both fullscreen and windowed. That video is from the fullscreen play.
Looked like an interesting combat multi-tasker with nice art/sound and a few systems to explore!
animations are awesome! Keep up!
This was a really nice entry with smooth animations, nice sprites and a good use of "game feel". I loved that you had controller support (which I used). The gameplay was unique and great and I really liked the dual analogue idea.
### What you could improve on:
The sound effects were definitely not the greatest and I felt that this game would be better with shadows and a bit of differentiation in lighting, with darker lighting in the harder parts of the map.
But overall, an enjoyable game!
"I don’t think patching a control change really is in the spirit of “small bug fixes only”" and I respect that.
While I was playing, where the score is, at fairly frequent intervals it said "Scoreboard blocked." At first, I thought it was just waiting to update scores until the next time it did that function, but after a bit I realized, it definitely wasn't adding to my score nearly enough. I know this because by the time I realized this, I'd played the game a few times, and my final attempt was by far my best attempt - I was fighting snakes and stuff - but my score was very low, compared to prior plays. So, don't know if that's some kind of bug.
But, this is a unique and different and fun game, and I highly appreciate that. The shadows and lighting comment and your response made me laugh. You are, in fact, not a wizard. In fact, I don't think shadows and lighting would be a good use of your limited time and resources. I'd rather you focus on fun, like you did. Great job! Nice innovation and allocation of resources to the proper aspects of the gameplay.
Overall this was awesome and you did a great job!
All the different bonus were nice, the way you handle how the player takes damage is good.
In my opinion, it felt some screenshake was missing when firing for example, and a bit of vibrations for controllers would have make it feel even better :)
By the way, I think you should put a link to this page on your itch.io page, I found you there and it was a bit difficult to find you ;)
I don't know why I didn't think about vibration, Rewired would handle that easily. Damn, I missed that one.
There should be a big "LUDUM DARE" banner at the top of the page next to a button that takes you here :-/ crap. I will add a link, thank you.
I don't think it'd be fair of me to rate this. It's a shame I couldn't play it properly, 'cause it looks fun.
Interesting game! One thing I dislike is stuck on damage. Wrong place and bear dies =(
