The end of a trilogy. It's a bleak future... after Teddy got lost in space in part 2, he and his colleagues have been replaced by more efficient and much cheaper robots! The corporations have also discovered that pests can be a resource, instead of just a... "nuisance". So they have decided to start a zoo.

Goal:

Your goal is to keep attendance high. Attendees will show up in droves if you have a lot of critters they can look at, but will quickly bail if it turns into an infestation.

Gameplay:

Pests naturally flock together. Use your robot lokators to distract pests and guide them around the planetoid instead. But beware, if pests have nothing to do, they will likely relieve their boredom with some good ol' procreation.

Having enough pests will drive up attendee numbers. Having too many pests will drop them instead. You get points for maintaining attendance. The game is over when you no longer draw any attendees.

Controls:

  • Press the space bar to orbital drop a lokator. You can have a maximum of ten lokators, but keep in mind that they negatively affect attendee levels.
  • Select a lokator with left mouse button and move it around with the same left mouse button. Clicking outside the planetoid will deselect the selected lokator.
  • Hold down right mouse button to rotate the camera around the planetoid.
  • Use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out on the planetoid.
  • Press Escape or P to pause the game and bring up the pause menu.
  • You can always directly quit the game with Alt-F4.

Missing Features:

* There is no game over screen. Sorry. We ran out of time :P The game will pause instead so you can look at your score. If the game suddenly stops and attendance is 0, this is it.
* The game isn't very balanced. Too little time to really get in there and test it :/
* There is no music or sound. Our musical team member was away for work, and I didn't have enough time to spare :(

Bugs:

* Sometimes, at the start of the game, one or more pests appear immobile. This looks to be an Unreal bug, unfortunately. You should restart the game if this happens.
* Sometimes, at the start of the game, you can't spawn lokators with the space bar. You should restart the game if this happens.
* Unfortunately, after the game ends, you can't access the pause menu. You can still exit with Alt-F4.

Notes:

* This game can be rather performance intensive as the number of pests increases.
* Pests like to form high towers. This was not intended, but it looks pretty hilarious.
* This game should probably not be played by people with entomophobia.

Theme:

* Perhaps it's... *too* small a world ;)

The graphics and the moment of the Pests and the lokators is really good. but I sadly did not understand what I was suppose to do in the game. And yes, I have read the instructions, but they did not help enough. Perhaps a small YouTube video could help.

Use the lokators to help the pests with getting together so they can reproduce. Once the attendance skyrockets use your lokators to try and keep the pests moving so they can't easily reproduce for as long as possible. Once you have too many pests attendance will start dropping and when you have no more attendance, the game is over (it pauses). The idea was that the world is simply too small to sustain the population.

I played this on my livestream here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srBde18ASdY

I had a LOT of trouble understanding what I was supposed to do. And the game crashed on me. Maybe some ingame panels with a list of controls in the short term. Some text to tell me what the goal is? I'm still unsure even after re-reading the description again.

This is a very rough version. I feel a post-jam version could fix some of the issues.
