Forbidden Love by abhimonk

Just a normal fishing game, nothing to see here.
WARNING: This game's master volume is kinda loud. Turn your volume down initially, and if the intro music volume sounds fine then you should be good to go.
CONTROLS (Should be explained in game, but in case you want a reference)
Left & Right arrow to move hook
Space to dive
Q to summon bait (if you have 3 worms)

Overall just an amazing game. I loved it!
It has replay value, I played it 3 times myself. Hooking up with someone in this case a fish and "literally" being a hook was a awesome idea. The music and graphics was nice. Loved it, was funny as well as fun, great job look forward to what is going to be made next time possibly if you guys join again.
Reminded me of frog fractions. It's been so long since something has reminded me of frog fractions.
Nice audio, good choice to put chill and fishing together, and graphics are fun too!
Hilarious game! What a concept!
Graphics could hace been a little more polished although I believe is part of the weird sense of humor.
Audio was perfectly matched with the theme.
Games as these should be considered art pieces.
Really the type of humor that I like. Ok graphics and sounds could be better, but the gameplay and story are so well done that I could only recommend to anyone that is interested in experimenting an unique gameplay expericence .
Keep doing fun for others !
Ok, maybe the graphism could be better but it also kind of part of the game and experience I think.
In the other hand : everything work so much, it's really surprise to surprise, with a lot of humour and some plottwist following by another plotwist following by another plotwist, it really make the game lives !
Very good.
I did not expect anything in this game and that kept me guessing during the later segments. I could use more robust fishing mechanics, more bait, larger fish, male fish?
This is how she responds:

Fun Fact: this book actually has a manga adaptation:

On a serious note, I didn't expect a dating sim to show up for whatever reason, so when the first date started, I just burst out laughing. This is honestly the funniest game I've played throughout this event. I hope you win first place for humor!
@deepterror, Thanks for the feedback on the graphics and sound. I agree I could have spent a little longer on the sound design (after writing the music, I sorta threw together the sfx haha). Glad you played to the end and enjoyed!
@ribout-horace Thanks for playing! I'm happy you liked the twists we threw at you.
@yukey0 Haha Great to see another Naruto fan here. Both @not-the-real-mark-zhang and I watch a decent amount of anime. A good chunk of the game's humor came from anime tropes, so I'm glad you liked that. Also, I'm super happy you enjoyed the game enough to play it more than once! We were afraid that a lot of the writing would go unused, since we tried to have a joke for each response choice, so most people would only hear 1/4 of the jokes. Thanks so much for playing!
@chao Man that's a game name I haven't heard in forever, but it feels pretty awesome to have reminded someone of the legendary Frog Fractions. Thanks for playing!
@jk5000 Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed the dialogue/story! I agree, the gameplay mechanics honestly came out pretty boring. I would have loved to spice up the core gameplay a little, but my teammate and I ended up spending most of our time on the dating portion of the game. Thanks again!
@guin36 and @ecmjohnson thanks so much for playing! I know I sound like a broken record here, but I'm really glad you guys enjoyed the humor. I totally agree that the fishing part was pretty bland. I would have loved to implement some additional hazards / mechanics introduced with each fishing section (i.e things that knocked worms out of you, different types of bait, terrain being involved, etc), but time got pretty tight towards the end. If we ever return to this for a post-LD version, that's definitely where we'll start.
@beamkirby LOL I can't believe there was actually a manga version of 20k leagues under the sea. That was totally unintentional on our part haha. Thanks for playing, I'm really glad you found it funny! Thanks for wishing us 1st place!! (I hope we get up there too!)
(I hate to lump so many of you into the same response, I really should have responded to everyone sooner)

Thank you all for the kind words! I'm super happy you all enjoyed our game!
To everyone who played/commented, thank you so much! I know how cliched and repetitive it sounds, but holy crap you have no idea how happy I am that all of you played our game! I'm so ridiculously happy that so many of you enjoyed it. Even those who didn't enjoy it a ton, I'm thrilled that you even played our game. You're all the best!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
