That was neat! Absorbing bullets is always a weird unsettling feeling. Works well with the theme.

Difficulty curve was a bit steep, but clever idea

Gets pretty frantic with 3 portals, couldn't work out whether the best strategy is to let the enemies build up to shut them quicker, or try and clear the screen! These are fun decisions to make!

Well done!

Unique take on a bullet hell game, has some strategy to it. If you wanted to expand this, you could perhaps do multiple levels and add environmental puzzle elements which would limit your ability to get around the map.

Really fun and difficult, liked the graphics, sound effects were nice, sadly no music. Good job, promising game if you continue making it.

I really like the bullet absorbing mechanic. It creates interesting dynamic - on the one hand I need to kill monsters to keep the game beatable on the other hand I need them to seal the portals. I would add different AIs to each enemy class - now they all tend to create a dense flock that is practically invincible... Fun game nonetheless!

absorbing the bullets/enemies is very uncommon but a neat change of mechanics, maybe better explain that part of the mechanics. besides that the game was very fun and especially with 3 portals open challenging and fun

Neat concept! My only issue is I think the instructions could have been a bit more clear but otherwise not to bad. I never could make it past when the triangles were added but I probably just suck ;)

The character sprite is great. A little background music never hurts :)

@PulsorHD @Weeping Rupee There were a couple of small bugs that made the background music very quiet or not play at all. Everything should be fixed now!

Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description

I really enjoyed playing this one! Clever, and very unique. For added difficulty (I never died and stopped because of repetition), you could make it where if you flying to a wall,floor/ceiling, you'd get hurt too. Also, it would have been nice to have a bar or something indicating the life of the portals. But those are merely suggestions. I'm impressed, this must have taken a lot of work! Nice job! :)

One of the better entries I've played. Great job.

@norseware Thanks! The bars below the player health fill up as you collect enemy projectiles, and disappear when you close each portal. We'll definitely be looking at the difficulty curve in the post-jam version.

The game escalates to a very challenging level pretty quickly. It was fun, though.

The visuals were pretty nice. I'll have to find a controller lying around to test the game out with that control scheme, I'm wondering if it will feel better flying around with an analogue stick instead of a mouse click.
