This game was really fun too play, good job! It would've been better had the sacrifice button been the right mouse button, since the attack was the left, anyways really good!

@seezogames thank you! I'm glad that you liked it. Yes, having the sacrifice button on V was an odd choice. Honestly it was just the first thing I set it to when developing, and I got so used to it while playtesting that I never really thought about changing it.

I gonna be honest with you @goudagames. Watching you play this game during the development process made it seem quite easy to learn, but when I actually downloaded the game and played it... it was really fun though not as easy as it had seemed(maybe coz I watched you play it over and over thus my mind created that image). I really had fun, like literally coz it's like I was trying a new game after watching the pros play it for a while. And yes, I think maybe it would be even more smoother if all the action buttons were on the mouse, and only the navigations on the keyboard. Congrats mate!.

This game feels satisfying, I feel the leveling up, and is something that you don't see often in LD games. The graphics is also top notch, I really liked the sword animation and its attack. Sound effects are great too, maybe there is a lack of a music background? Furthermore the game fit the theme very well, so you created a good balanced entry! Be proud! :)

This is an great game. Simple, but well executed and i enjoyed very much to play!

I think the next wave should not spawn before you sacrifice old bodies or they disappear, because thats just mean. Also, the enemies sometimes spawn all around you and there is not enough time to prepare, which results in some cheap hits. That said, I love this game, its super cool :D

@kobrar Thank you! I agree that the enemies spawning near you is annoying, you get very little time with the portals before they spawn. It was a conscious choice to not have the next wave wait for the old bodies though, it's meant to hectic and you need to sacrifice while fighting at the same time :)

@hav24 I'm glad you like it! I've never been good with soundtracks, and when I try to make them I think they're annoying and actually deteriorates the experience for me, so that's why there's no music :D (also time)

Regular proper entry dude. Spend like half hour with your game. I just 100% enjoyed the whole time. Nice graphics. Clever design of the enemies and the game. Yeah it maybe need some polishing. Awesome compo entry.

I like this entry! The grapics is nice and I really liked the animations. The game itself is too hard for me, but I can feel the progression during my (short) gameplays. After playing for a while, I think the balance is really nice, and my biggest complaint is not your fault: clicking out of the window while shooting :D

PS. You should market your game a little bit to get more ratings! Cheers

Yeah, I haven't had a lot of time sadly, but I'm trying to play and rate more other games, and I should market better.

This is super fun! Challenging enough to want me to keep playing, but not so challenging that I gave up in a heart beat! The fact V is the sacrifice button is maybe the main thing I'd want changed though. Still a really great competitive game :D

Hey Gouda :) the bullet hell style of the game is amazing and works really well. its a challenging game with its seemingly endless waves BUT dude, I know you know about V but I keep getting stuck on the walls behind the alter whilst trying to escape the bats XD

It's a good game to pass the time, very similar to bullet hell type games. Very good value for being made in 48 hours. I didn't find it too hard as i'm used to those type of games There are certain parts of the map where you get stuck though but it's random. I was fine with the controls, game ran pretty fluidly. One thing that could have been neat would be either a score counter or a counter which shows which round you're on, leaderboard type thing.

Just finished doing my best to beat it. I got to where I had sacrificed 3 of my abilities but it was too much. This is a very well done game. I had a lot of fun playing it and kept wanting to come back and do better. I agree that a score system would be nice. And a longer delay on the next wave of enemies. I would also add another indicator of taking damage, sometimes I was standing on a bat, taking damage and didn't even notice. But other than those gripes, this is a solid game.

Great job, would have appreciated an addiction warning though :D

As I approached the final waves, I was feeling like an unstoppable powerhouse. But oh, I was not prepared to what the game had yet in store...


After a few rounds, I made it to the final wave(?), but then just died as I really had minimum damage output in a room full of swords. All things considered though, this is one of the most fun games of the jam I've played so far. To the point, no signs of uncomplete feature creep, and a surprising gameplay tweak right when it needed to happen. I actually took a screenshot of the "twist" of the game, but given the nature, I believe it's better to not spoil it :P

My one and only qualm is having to press the V button, which is an odd one given the controller scheme. Either right click, middle mouse button or just stepping close to the corpses should have sufficed. But that's not that big of a deal. Great pixel art!
