Slice of Screen by Zirrrus
FPS + 2D Platformer
Play it here: https://zirrrus.itch.io/slice-of-screen (embedded WebGL and Windows standalone available)
The game is about experimenting. So just jump in and mess around for a bit.
Here are some hints: - try typical PC FPS controls(Mouse, WASD, Space) - right mouse button does something - Escape brings up a menu

cons: I bit too mutch for my brain to handle as well,
Good job!
Honestly, I did have to go back and read the tutorial (although I didn't cheat!). Very trippy. Shame sometimes your collider scuffs up against walls which can make things harder to navigate. Very creative use of the theme.
- in the tutorial is a typo - twice "will" (at least in the Web mode)
- in the escape menu you can actually click multiple times on the buttons to trigger the animation more than once
The 1D perspective was a bit confusing at first and I would't figure out the controls without the
tutorial.
The whole perspectives thing is really cool.
I am so sad that this game doesn't have any sound effects (f.e. for shooting) or music. It would give the game the
last bit of polish.
Good job!
On a sidenote, the web version scrolling seems to cause some kind of bug to the field of view and it's really hard to aim. Keep it up, good work :)
This is 100% the most original and innovative game in this LD! Great job!
