Challenge your post-apocalyptic friend to an unlikely competition.

screen_3.png

In this game you face the other player in a 1v1 boat race through a toxic wasteland.

There is a catch though: fishing is involved. The local fauna does not seem very appetizing, but it surely has some other uses, right? You'll figure it out.

Bring your buddy or try playing vs the silly AI, and see if you can be the first one to cross the finish line. Watch out for sharks though. Sharks ruin everything.

Awesome idea! Fishing and racing combines in a really simple way.
Nice music and gorgeous graphics really gets me in the post apocalyptic atmosphere.
Maybe at that age it really becomes a thing!
Congratulations!

* The mines are a nice touch, adds another kind of strategy to a neck & neck race
* elevator music helps add the chill vibes that accompany fishing in a nuclear wasteland
* I think a parallax background would help sell that "enormous wasteland" feel.
* The "map" that shows how close each of you are to the finish line is good, definitely helps player know when progress is made (or lost)
* the art is great, the giant piles of garbage and bug-eyed fish definitely give the game a quirky lightheartedness :D

Surely deserves to get scored. One of the best 2D artwork I have seen in this jam.

Omg! This game looks incredible! :O You guys really drew all that in 72 hours? holy crap <3
Overall it's funny and well designed, loved the concept of fishing and racing! They're indeed quite the opposite.
Bonus points btw on the custom launch icon, it's little touches like this that always catch my attention.. ;)

@saiodin Hey, thank you! :) It was actually less than that. We spent half of a day checking different game ideas and on monday I had to go to work and was too tired to do anything. @auxc was left alone to stick everything together :D

That's pretty good! I liked the juxtaposition of a post apocalyptic wasteland with the music. Wish I could have seen a little farther ahead. Good work!

Wow it is very original. Fishing + race it's pretty accurate for this them. Also the post-apocaliptic/wasteland style was very funny in combination with the music. Very good entry, one of my favourites :)

Wow great job with this! Simple mechanics in a very polished game. The artwork is amazing, the concept is original, and the audio compliments the mood nicely. Very impressive for 72 hours! I managed to beat the AI on my second try but it was a close one haha excellent submission!

Neat little game, i loved it. The art style is great and this chill BGM is just perfect for some post-apocalyptic fishing 😄 But i think you should split the screen horizontally, not vertically, because right now you can't aim any "midshots" and "longshots".

@Annie Owl Thanks for the feedback! This is something we realized when we submitted our project and it was too late to change it :S. It would definitely help a ton lot. Even simple zoom-out would be an improvement :|.
Btw. did you work on Kingdom:New Lands by any chance? Your Jam game gives me the simillar vibe :).

@chrissx2 No, sadly we haven't been even close to projects that big and that popular yet. But I am flattered by this comparison 😊

Some really amazing graphics in this, how on earth did you get all of that done in 72 hours? Actually, I don't want to know, it's your secret sauce. Charmingly brilliant, scoring this one high.

Looks very harmonious. I seen more complicated games on this event but this game probably has best idea:)

Really nice concept! I can totally see this as one minigame from a post-apocalyptic themed party game full of other minigames!
The art is really polished and the gameplay feels really solid. Unfortunately I couldn't test it against another human player, but I can see the potential of fun there is on a 1v1 duel against a friend :)

Great job!

Great job! The game is addictive and fun. The combination of genres is fantastic. A nice mix of amazing art and music. It's hard to win because i go more backwards than forward but i makes it interesting. Overall, it's 99% perfect, the only think i would change is that is easier to see to fishes that go from left to right than the opposite (because i'm always throwing to right), and when i throw i'm blind to see whats comming from right
