Life Exchange by TwoWolf
This is my first Jam and I made a lot of last minute mistakes leading me to late submission. I don't know how this works yet but I wish I could at least upload to see how it can be received.

Summary
I have finally uploaded everything. I was late for my submission so please consider my first LD as a sort of a test run rather than an official sign up. But even though I was late the game itself was made within 72 hours and I learned a lot for the last 3 days.
I made a game that is a prototype of the kind of adventure games I used to play as a game and wanted to play. This was my first time attempting build at least a semblance of a dungeon.
Things to consider for the next LD: - Focus on the main base game and then proceed to polish it - Pixel art takes as much time if not more than regular art. Specialize in an art style in advance - Prepare tons of more base code and mend the rough edges of your skills and engine related knowledge base - Do not underestimate the time it takes to build, error-check, and publishing the game

I think this is you... as you can see only one game shows up on your page.

Set the game page visibility to Public!

- The enemies respawn when you just killed them, there is no point in combating in most of the cases, and as you are slowed down while attacking, you just get hit by them really quick, as they are though to kill.
- The chest in the begining can fill your entire life, and if you took some damage you can just go back and replenish your life, maybe if you cap the maximum hp that the chest can give you or seting a coldown time, it would solve this issue.
The art is great and he way you made the map is very good, I god lost with a horde behind me a few times hahaha.
Nice work, bro!
I couldn't get through the first corridor. After some time there was a huge bunch so I could only stay and fight.
Even though, I like the idea, you've achieved it quite good and it'd be nice if the game was playable
The sprites (both the tiles and the characters) are very good and consistent, so well done in the graphics department!
I think that the game is a bit too hard, though...
I kept getting swarmed by enemies, without getting chances to counterattack, as they respawned really quickly.
I think that a possible solution might be lowering enemies' HP...
Still, shooting fireballs was enjoyable anyways.
What were the _Your life is currency_ mechanics? I didn't get far enough in the game to see those.
