It Seemed so big... by lozzadawg

[raw]
made by lozzadawg for LD 38 (COMPO)

Game for LD38 with the Theme: A small world. I took this to mean more of our place of existence, this being the universe. The ever expanding space that limits where we can go and what we can do, our World. I took this idea and brought it back to the theme, what if out world was smaller than we think? What if our infinite space of residence is nothing but a snow globe on somethings shelf? All in all I had a lot of fun making this game, and may try and make a cleaner version of it in the future.

There doesn't seem to be much gameplay. It's got some potential, but I wouldn't call it a game in it's current state. The graphics are nice, and the mechanics work, but there doesn't really seem to be something to work for. I hope this helps.

I think this has a lot of potential. I like the idea of managing a lot of different planets and resources and things. I could never figure out how to make technology, or why I would ever take resources from the planets (what do I do with them?). Seems like it's the start of a great game but not there yet.

This game is bit confusing, I think it needs clearer instructions and some clear goal. Maybe like a tutorial thing that works you through the different options? And yeah, I couldn't figure out how to make technology either :/

I think this could be fleshed out into something interesting though! Not sure if you did this, but it's great to try to get feedback on your game during the compo so you can find what parts people find too hard or don't understand

So at first I though it was a planetary systme management game. But the game itself is quite confusing: was it really what you tried to do? I just created three world, three trade route, and everything seemed fine... So there didn't seem to be much to it. I didn't see any technology either. I think it could be interesting with some more polishing, balance and some more guided gameplay.

Confusing, but I like the simple style. Doesn't feel like their is a game- I never ran into obstacles, and there were not clear goals.

I like the idea but i was confused. What is the goal of making the planets? I think you should give more information and stats about everything. However i liked the artstyle and the graphics too

You obviously put in a lot of work and I have to give you credit for that - on top of the mechanics, the graphics are very cool. But this game is way too complex for a gamejam in my opinion!

UI was a bit unclear at times, whether the top or bottom part of the bar was the part being represented. With a bit more progression, structure, and difficulty this could be a very interesting game.

There seem to be an interesting sort of interplanetary ecosystem here, but I would have preferred it if there were some tangible goals. The graphics look good (but I think there could be some more variety in the planets). The music is a bit annoying, though.

I like the mechanics and type of game, it sort of gestional/simulation, retro look is awesome, definitely there's space for improvements, would like to see more gameplay mechanics for losing and hazard events.

The music is little bit creepy... :p
The game is not very rewarding since you just accumulate resources for not evident reasons.
The graphical part and the gamefeel are very nice tho. Nice entry !
