Fun! Was weird to get a handle on how movement worked at first, but had a great time once I did!

There were some audio bugs that made some noises when finishing the level but it was quite nice to play.

RE: Controls
Instead of putting a rotate/thrust type of control we went with cardinal directions. It gave it more of an arcade feel and less of a driving feel.

RE: Sounds.
All of the audio is original and was added at the last hour. Too bad about the bugs, we may fix them in the future. This is our first submission as a group. Thanks for the feedback.

I liked the recorded voices also sometimes it stacked up and became kind of crazy. Fun game! I liked how you used the theme to create a interesting mechanic. Makes for some exciting gameplay to have things rush toward and away from you.

Terryg: There are 6 levels. It gets really difficult after the first 3 tutorial stages.

If anyone is up for a challenge, type "game.state.start('stage6');" in the developer console of your browser to go to the last level.

Looks deceptively simple but it's actually harder than it is (Level 3/4 seems impossible with all those shapes coming after you). Still pretty fun to play though.

Sound bug is weird, but not so annoying, and besides, the gameplay and animation are good. Well done !

When you get to the point where huge swarms of shapes are following/avoiding you, things get really fun and hectic.

Whimsical art and really funny audio make for a really attractive arcade game.

I'd recommend having spacebar or another keyboard key activate the Next and Try Again buttons, since the player will have 2 hands on the keyboard while playing. Having to reach for the mouse each time you win/lose is an unnecessary step.

Nice work!

TheMeorch: Thanks for the tip about hitting the space bar, or some other key. Didn't think about the hand positions.

The mechanic is pretty memorable, almost like Pac-Man in its system of give-and-take (constantly switching between hunter and hunted, and all). I think the one place the game suffered a bit was level design. I typically found the only strategy to be herding enemies into the corner and wait until the other shapes caught up with me. I think the gameplay could stand to be more varied in this way.

But again--the concept is sweet. I came back to this entry a couple of times because of it.

Interesting idea, but it becomes really difficult, really fast, maybe a few more 'easy' levels to get more used to the concept?
