I like the pixel art and animation of the little girl, especially her throwing and catching the sword during the roll. I think the game would benefit greatly from more feedback, I was never quite sure if I was hitting anything.

I also wasn't sure if there was any more than that initial stage? Is it a wave based game? My health seems to regenerate after a while, but I couldn't quite figure out whether it's supposed to be endless waves of enemies, or if I screwed up.

Great graphics, especially animation, very good sound, nice rain !
I didn't manage to grasp the gameplay though. The roll looks great but I don't get what to do with it (the ennemy just turn around quickly anyway). I only attack the ennemy until they kill me.

edit after a last try : ! Actually there is a winning strategy : you hit the shadows 2 ou 3 times, back of, hit again, until you are stuck in a border, then you roll to the other side. I managed to score 48 like that. Great fun.

Very dark-soulsey. Combo, roll, slash, roll! Fun. :)

Great work on the game! It was kind of hard to see the first bubble of getting a sword with the low pixel resolution. Kind of a big switch up from the background versus the player. Nice animations and graphics on the players though. Kind of hard to read the mechanics while being killed by the shadows. Keep up the good work, I had a lot of fun!

Really liked the visuals :D It would've been nice if there was a score counter so at least you know how well you're doing. Still, very well done :)

Hey, nice game! I really liked the animations- they seemed really fluid and it looks like a lot of thought went into them. One thing I would have liked is a little more "Game feel" with knockback and more feedback for when I hit an enemy or get hit.

I really liked the overall feel of your game and the intro was nice

Really cute, I love the animations, tho I'm not sure how much the backgrounds fit with that aesthetic. Regardless, a really nice and polished entry. :)

I loved the graphics and animation in the game is really nice and original but I have to say I thought it was too short. I would have loved to have something to keep me fighting and the good thing I really think you can turn this into a really great game. You just need to add some upgrades or power ups it could be very simple stuff but it will encourage the player to keep going. But again I know how hard it is to do this much in such a short time so good work :)

The graphics are so good!! The animations so smooth! The dodge roll feels awesome. I love everything.

The only problem is there isnt much to do other then beating more and more enemies. If this became a full scale action platformer I would love it - the character design really is superb.

The animations are **awesome**. Would have been great to have more gameplay elements.. But I know the game is pretty solid as it is taking into account the ld time constrains

The game starts off on the right foot with an impressively-done intro cinematic. This is backed up by a solid soundscape and excellent animation work. The combat mechanics are simple, but there's an art to taking engagements correctly. That said, the player's attack animation is rigged so that when she finishes her combo, she instantly resets to her starting position a few steps backwards. I think it would be better to make it so that when she finishes her combo, she ends up standing at the point she stepped forward to - a few steps forward from her original position. Still, this is very well done.

Decent, if a bit repetitive. The intro sequence is a real strong point, and I liked the in-game tutorial. The actual game play wasn't bad, but it got old pretty quickly. Some scrolling or some variety would have been nice. I also found it hard to tell when I was being hit, other than by watching my life meter go down.

Nice game. Simple mechanic, but they are enough for a lot of challenging fun. Got a score of 35! :D
