Amethyst by srakowski

Amethyst
The god of purple gems, Amethyst, has commanded you, a gem loving wraith, to sacrifice your gems in his honor. 4 total sacrifices, each doubling the value of the last sacrifice, must be made to him within every 2 minutes. As an impatient deity, he will smite you if you fail to deliver the gems the allotted time.
The dungeon you mine is littered with stones of blue(ish) and red, perfect for the god of purple gems (for being of great knowledge he is aware that these colors combined make his beloved purple). The blue gems may be mined freely, but red gems are enchanted and emit a barrage of red stones every so often. Beware of these, they hurt!
Once collected Amethyst demands to you place the gems in his sacrificial cauldron at the center of the dungeon. The dungeon is vast and you have no map so don't get lost!
Once all 4 sacrifices have been made Amethyst will let you get back to your normal life!

Gameplay
Every 2 minutes you must make a sacrifice of gems in the cauldron for a total of 4 sacrifices. Each sacrifice requires double the number of gems as the last sacrifice. Use your purple hammer to hit the red and blue gems embedded in the walls. Collect the gems they are replaced with. Once you have collected the requisite number of gems return to the cauldron to sacrifice them. When you sacrifice them only the required number of gems are removed and your HP is restored. Blue gems may be mined freely. Red gems emit a projectile you must avoid.
Winning
You win if you are able to complete all 4 required gem sacrifices in the time allotted.
Losing
You will lose the game if:
You run out of HP You do not submit a sacrifice within 2 minutes of the last sacrifice (or the start of the game)
Tips
Use the whole 2 minutes
When you make a gem sacrifice you only sacrifice the gems required. This means any gems collected in a session may be used for the next. However, once you place the gems in the caulron the timer resets and you are required to sacrifice double the last amount of gems in the same amount of time. That being said, if you are able to collect all the gems needed and have another 30 seconds go mine a few more.
Dont get lost
There are 5 rooms types repeated through the dungeon and they all look the same after a while. It is easy to get lost, especially as you get into the final round and must travel further to collect more gems. Consider using some seqeunce or pattern to remember how to get back to the cauldron.
** I wanted to implement a map of sorts, but didn't have the time. Instead this adds the to the difficulty as you must remember how to get back to where you started.
Other Info:
I developed this using MonoGame. I went into this jam wanting to keep things simple. I ended up building out an ECS engine, a level editor, and some basic proc-gen. I didn't end up keeping it simple :(.

Somehow NoScript was blocking cross-site loading thing.
I also don't see a releases directory in the github, but going there directly somehow does reveal a page...
Thanks, will play it later.
Several suggestions:
(1) I would appreciate a "start" button or some other mechanism (at least start the timer once you start to move, not when the game just loaded),
(2) for me, the red stones were way too frequent, not allowing much of exploring :/
Besides that it's a very interesting game, I do like having to collect two colours of gems to combine them, falling through the platforms down the tunnel and avoiding the shards. :) It's good that they also have a sound so that you are warned ahead!
Of course everything being samey is a bit hard to follow. It's even made harder if some of the gems are located off screen.
I've managed to sacrifice once, but the second time I arrived there the cauldron is gone and I have no idea where to sacrifice.
The idea is nice. And a timer, and a partial missing screen, and samey rooms with disappearing cauldrons makes the game really a challenge!
