I'm sorry to ask, but I have no experience with UnrealEngine. Can this be played without having the engine on your computer? Because I can't find a .exe file inside your archive. :thinking:

You click the windows download @lawrence, at least i think so

04. Dec 2017 · 08:46 UTC
@lawrence yes like TheGamer1123211 said, you need to download the game from the game jolt site (The windownload link to the game jolt site). And there is a .exe file in the game download.

Oh.. just realized I played your older game TheWarAgainstDarkness, looks like your link to game points to wrong file?

TheWarAgainstDarkness comment:
I love turn based games. This is really good. Would love to see some AI here, but I know that would take more time than 48h. Didn't really get how chance to win is calculated as 7 vs 7 ended up 0 vs 4 at the end - would expected closer result than that. Overall - great game.

I am super sorry that I by mistake had uploaded a old game. I have how uploaded the right game, so you can try the real LD game. Again I am really sorry.

Very cool game, the puzzles are tricky and satisfying to solve. I also really liked the graphics, the way the little guys were walking looks really good. I did notice that if one guy enters a arrow tile with another one already in it, the second guy doesn't change direction.

Now i played the real game and it is really good. the later puzzles become hard but manageable. Good job!

@dusho in The War Against Darkness both players starts the game with the same strength, and therefor all the single fights between the warriors has a 50/50 percentage change of winning. This means that a fight (7v7) easily can end 4 vs 0 or even 7 vs 0, and I think that is okay.

And by the way I have uploaded the right game now.

Very nice graphics, simple and effective controls and fun levels that become chalenging after a while. The music isn't too distracting, which is nice.

Very interesting game with interesting mechanics. Would have been good to explain some of the mechanisms when they first appeared but wasn't too hard to work it out. The puzzles were good. Would definitely be interested in seeming more level for this.

Cute little thing. 3D graphics were nice and the wobbly animation added lots of juice.

Hey man, I liked your entry - played to the elevator-level which I thought was pretty clever.

When people do good puzzledesign i'm always in awe. :)

The fact that you managed to make so many puzzles in such a short time is pretty amazing.
I also like the yippee sound effect.

Also i would've liked it if you gave my game a rating too. Just saying XD

Great Game! I like so much your LD project.

I love your sounds makes by you I did the same on my project!

But I give you some issues that I could see.

- The music restarts when you restart the level or when you pass it and starts other.

- The elevator is complicated to see it.

Overall, Nice game and nice job!

_(Seems we're in the same timezone or something? Not sure how I keep running into you, even accounting for the ammounts of reviews you leave.)_

A puzzle game! :smile:

Red on yellow (instruction text) might be hard to parse for some people.

Nice 'n slow ramp-up learning curve.

Reminds me a bit of lemmings somehow. Given the sounds they make on exit, it's probably intentional.

Camera rotation-buttons could show circular arrows?

I like the extra little touches like the menu coming in late, or the extra 'no's swirling around when you fail.

I love this entry, I love puzzle games, so this one was right in my alley. Finished it in one swoop, while some levels were trickier than others, so I would probably switch some levels around so the difficulty curve was steadily rising, but might depend on the person playing.

Sweet little puzzle game, would like to play more levels :]

@prostone
It is really hard to say witch levels are harder then other levels. I have tried too have some level progression, but it is probably not perfect.

@magicdidac
I agree that the music shall not restart every time you restart a level. And yes the elevators can be difficult to see.

@remco
The yellow text on a red background was perhaps not the best idea, but I hope it not too bad for the colorblind. The picture on the camera buttons could have been better, but i don´t think they are too bad.

Thank you to everyone playing game and even a bigger thank you to all of you given feedback.

Wow! That was great! The visuals and audio were well done throughout, the puzzles had the right level of difficulty. At first, I thought it was going to be a bit simple, but once I hit the level where you need to change the directional tiles after having started, the game really hit its stride.

Solid puzzle game! I think there probably should have been a "step counter" or similar, so that the player could be rewarded for finishing in a minimal number of moves. Overall, though, it was great!

Too laggy on my old machine, but I didn't rate it because it looks like others could play it. The guy on the first level just walks into the wall behind him when I press start. Looks nice though.

Honestly really amazing that this was produced during the compo. Very clever, polished and well balanced. I especially liked the slow introduction of new mechanics.

Really impressive work considering this was made for the Compo.
I can see how you attempted to implement the theme, but I don't think it's really represented enough. I can imagine this becoming a really good puzzle game or even an educational game for teaching critical thinking or programming logic. The visuals are nice, it feels pretty polished, and it works well conceptually.
Excellent work overall!

Really interesting game, would have liked to have had a reset button that kept the floor panels facing the way they were.

Like the person said above with the step counter, games like these(I'm thinking of Zachtronics things) seem to benefit a lot from giving people ways to compete with each other, over something like number of steps, times you rotated or maybe just time.

I enjoyed the game. The water trap on the third level took me a couple of tries before I figured out what was going on, but I like that in a game. The difficulty increased well, not too quick but fast enough to get to the interesting puzzles.

Well done!

Very cool concept and approach to the theme. The visuals are very good and I like that I can change the camera angle. The puzzles are well built, there's a lot of work in there.

Maybe if you want the puzzles to be more challenging you could create platforms (lets call them that) that can't be rotated, and you have to get all the directions right at the beginning. But I guess that may be a bit frustrating for some people.

Overall a great game with a very good presentation. Congratulations!
