The Cell Stage by Andre Odendaal
Trying to duplicate the Cell Stage from Spore by Maxis but in 2D.
Swaying background could make you squeezy if you're the sensitive type?
Unfortunately I didn't finish in time so while you can eat the green food pellets it doesn't do anything.
There isn't any game play to speak of :(
Instructions:
=============
Click anywhere to move there.
Press 'M' to see the whole map.
Click Evolve to shape shift your character.
Click Play to return to swimming around.
Press Escape to pause and quit the game.

There's no point in the game yet, I suppose it's not finished.
You should really add a 'Close game' button since it starts in fullscreen.
The shifting of the different body parts feels like a good simple alternative to the original drag and drop system and is actually pretty fun!
The cell's movement has way too much inertia imo.
It's a shame you couldn't finish. :(
to have more orientation it would be good to zoom out a little and have a minimap - is there a limit to the map aquarium walls and the outer world?
give it nicer look, more dynamic "evolve" possibilities that have effect on your environment and time will slip away while playing!
great work!!!
Evolving the character was a bit funny :D
