Learn with Babafounini by Nicso

[raw]
made by Nicso for LD 41 (JAM)

Move with zqsd or wasd, run with shift, look arround with the mouse, talk to Babafounini with E. This was originally a compo game but i didn't had time to finish so ... Let's go Jam category.

[SPOILER]A mix between an educationnal game and an horror survival. The night part is finishable but isn't the funnniest thing in the world ^^ don't feel bad if you skip this part, there is nothing after :)

Really nice art and sound! Sadly, though, when I got to the horror part Babafounini's dialog looped endlessly and I couldn't move, so I wasn't able to progress farther.

Its a very funny and creative idea! I liked it alot. But I couldn't play after i found Babafounini, he would just repeat everything and I would not be able to move.

Great sound and graphics, but it was a bit tricky finding stuff given how large the world was. I got as far as finding the azure backpack before I called it a day.

Played the macOS version - there's a mistake in how it was packaged though. The zip file contains a "Contents" folder. I managed to get the game to work by creating a folder called "Babafounini.app" and putting "Contents" inside. The zip should contain a "<your game name>.app" folder to work straight away on any Mac. So zip the "whatever.app" that you get out of your macOS build and everything should be peachy!

It's a neat idea but the windows version seam to have some problems with the dialogue progression. Also the firt time I have played babafunini didn't spawn

Afraid I couldn't get very far due to bugs - dialogue didn't progress, couldn't move, and camera was on a tilt the whole time :( Looks nice though!

Art is nice and pleasant, that pink thing is so cute... Mimimi! But where are horror and survival things? I can't even drove myself in those springs :3

Found two backpacks, and got to the stage where Babafounini released the dogs and turned off the lights. I couldn’t see anything except for the sky and just randomly wandered around. Nothing happened? I could hear the dogs, but everything was black. After while it felt like I was stuck in place. I also had trouble with dialogue not always responding to E being pressed.

I quite liked the visuals, maybe tone done saturation. It was in places bit hard on eyes. Sounds were very well done, loved the way Babafounini talked.

Overall it’s kinda hard rate this experience as I’m not entirely sure if this was how it was meant to go.

The idea is very nice, too bad I couldn't play in the "horror" mode. Great effort though!

I'm sorry I couldn't figure out how to proceed after the first backpack. baba thanked me but he had vanished and the message of him thanking me would not go away. I tried walking around the world for a bit and pressing all the buttons on my keyboard.

Great visuals and audio! The presentation really kicks in. The sudden change of atmosphere worked really well, though I neither found the backpack, nor any dogs. Are there actual dogs?

Anyways, good game, I liked the short ride!

This is a very well made little game. The music and story is really good. The end is okay, but it could have used the horror element a bit more. Overall a good LD game. Well done.
